NHS Winter 2025 COVID-19 and Flu Vaccination Campaign:
We have now started to send out booking links for eligible patients. Our first clinic dates are:
Saturday 11th October (morning)
Thursday 16th October (afternoon)
Saturday 18th October (morning)
Patients who have opted out of text messaging or do not have a mobile number recorded will be contacted by telephone.
Please do not call the practice to book—wait to be contacted. Further clinic dates will be shared in due course.

Telephone Issues:
We are currently experiencing problems with our telephone system and are unable to make outgoing calls at this time. We are also aware that patients using the EE network may be unable to contact us by phone. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience while the issue is being resolved.

Sadly, due to circumstances beyond our control, the dispensary will be closed from 1:00 PM on Wednesday 23rd July. The opening hours remain unchanged for the rest of the week. We apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding. Many Thanks.

Our practice will be taking part in the NHS Winter 2025 COVID-19 and Flu Vaccination Campaign. Both vaccines will be offered together where possible. We will share further details on clinic dates and booking information as soon as they are available.

As part of the extension to the planning permission for the portacabin and to ensure we could retain the portacabin and the consulting rooms within it we were directed to convert 6 parking spaces into 4 disabled bays. This was a condition set by the planning authority and not something the practice had any control over. The work is now complete, and the car park is designated for disabled parking only. The car park is now open.

Car Park Closure Notice.

As part of the conditions for the extension of the portacabin planning permission, Rutland County Council’s Highways Department require us to reconfigure our current car park.

These works will begin on Friday 13th June 2025 and are expected to continue into the early part of next week. During this time, our car park will be closed.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

How to Submit an Online Consultation

If you need to contact us online, please visit Empingham Medical Centre’s website: empinghammedicalcentre.co.uk and look for the green banner labelled "Contact us online." Underneath, click "Submit a new request."

You will have three options:

🔹 Admin Query – For fit note extensions, test results or other administrative requests.
🔹 Medical Request – Available only for new acute issues that require attention on the same day. Requests can be submitted from 8am each weekday. You will need to provide personal details and complete a short questionnaire to assess your symptoms.
🔹 Online Advice – Access NHS guidance on conditions, symptoms, and treatments.

We appreciate that not everyone has internet access or finds technology easy to use. If you need assistance, you can still call our Patient Services team on 01780 460202 for support.

Need an urgent same-day appointment? If you have an acute medical issue that cannot wait and requires urgent attention today, please visit Empingham Medical Centre’s website: empinghammedicalcentre.co.uk to submit a request.

📌 Important: If a triaging clinician decides you need to be seen, you must be available to attend the surgery on the same day. Do not submit a request if you are unable to attend.

For routine appointments, please call the Surgery. Once all urgent slots are filled, the online request system will close.
