WELLNESS MYTH BUSTER 💭

Most people think their age is just the number on their birthday cards… but that’s only your chronological age.

What hardly anyone knows is that we all have a metabolic age as well — basically how old your body is functioning on the inside.

And this can be younger, the same, or (in a lot of cases) quite a bit older than your real age depending on things like:
• body composition
• lifestyle
• muscle vs fat
• hydration
• nutrition
• sleep, stress, daily habits

So two people can both be 40 and have bodies functioning like they’re 28… or 55. Big difference.

This chart is just an example of how body composition can influence metabolic age — not exact for everyone — but it gives people an idea.

And funnily enough, this is one of the readings we include in our wellness evaluations.

“When you surround yourself with people who lift you, everything rises.”

Yesterday we had an early start at our monthly Supervisor School — something we’re proud to help organise as part of our wider wellness community.

Although it takes place up at Heathrow, it’s a space our local Emsworth community is always welcome to plug into. A chance to step outside the day-to-day, meet inspiring people, hear real health stories and learn from some incredible trainers.

We started the morning with over 25 people waving, cheering and ready to grow.
Our guest speaker flew in from Paris, and the focus in the room was incredible — people taking notes, soaking up ideas, and investing in themselves.

Moments like this remind us why we do what we do here at the Hub.

Health isn’t just about food or fitness.
It’s about mindset, encouragement, support and community — and sometimes the best way to lift your energy is to step into a room where everyone is working on becoming better.

Lovely evening at the Emsworth Cruising Association tonight ⛵️
We heard an inspiring talk about the ARC Europe from the Commodore Andy Bannister and what it takes to cross the Atlantic — the planning, the resilience, the routines, the calm mindset.

It reminded me how much wellness isn’t just nutrition… it’s mental focus, community and pushing yourself beyond the everyday.

📊 Today’s score: 77%

But the part I’m most pleased with is the increase in green lights:

💚 I now have 5 green lights

These green lights show improvements in key areas such as:
