Myth: You can tell how healthy someone is just by looking at them.

Truth: You can’t see visceral fat.

Visceral fat sits deep around the internal organs. We all need some of it. It protects and supports vital structures. The issue is excess. Too much visceral fat is strongly linked to cardiovascular disease, insulin resistance and metabolic dysfunction.

Here’s the part most people don’t realise. Someone can look slim and still have high visceral fat. And someone who appears overweight may not have levels as dangerous as you’d assume.

Health isn’t just about what we can see in the mirror. It’s about what’s happening internally.
