Itโs nearly Christmas, and our SALT, Michelle, has been enjoying a festive Attention Autism session with her children! ๐โจ
With Christmas fast approaching, we kicked things off with a jolly Christmas theme, featuring wind-up Santas and penguins racing in sleighs for Stage 1 (Bucket). The excitement was contagious, and everyone was fully engaged! ๐
In Stage 2, Michelle demonstrated how to make a charming polar bear, guiding the children step-by-step. Some children took quick movement breaks, while others observed from a comfortable distance, creating a relaxed and engaging atmosphere. ๐ปโ๏ธ
Stage 3 brought even more creativity with Christmas tree decorations. Whether using fingers to create designs or cotton buds to avoid the sensory sensation of paint, it was wonderful to see the children personalise their craft projects. ๐๐๏ธ
The kids were so eager to make their own polar bears, so we set up a separate craft activity where they could dive into even more festive fun! ๐จโจ
It was the perfect blend of creativity, sensory exploration, and Christmas joy! ๐
