What a busy and joyful day here at Elsyng House! 💖
Our morning started with wonderful arts and crafts, where residents created beautiful pieces full of colour and creativity 🎨🌸

On the memory floor, sensory instruments brought smiles and engagement, with everyone enjoying the sounds and rhythm 🎶

In the afternoon, we were delighted to welcome Maayan, who played the guitar and filled the room with music. Residents sang along, danced, and truly enjoyed his fantastic live performance 🎸✨

Moments like these bring so much happiness, connection, and wellbeing to our home 💕

Armchair Travel to Greece at Elsyng House ✨🇬🇷

Today, our residents enjoyed a wonderful Armchair Travel to Greece experience, filled with beautiful memories, conversation, and delicious flavours. 🌊☀️
Our residents shared stories from their holidays on the Greek islands, reminiscing about sunshine, sea views, and special moments abroad. It was lovely to hear so many happy memories being brought back to life. 💙
A big thank you to Joseph, who prepared a selection of tasty Greek treats, bringing the authentic flavours of Greece right into our home. The food was truly enjoyed by everyone!

🌍 Earth Day at Elsyng House 🌿
Today we celebrated Earth Day in a truly meaningful way 💚
Our residents enjoyed a lovely trip to Forty Hall Park, where we took part in a litter pick—helping to care for our local environment while enjoying the fresh air and beautiful surroundings 🌳☀️
Back at the home, our flower trolley brought smiles to everyone. Residents had the opportunity to choose their own plant to take to their rooms and look after 🌸🪴 A wonderful way to connect with nature and create something personal to enjoy every day.

Our residents enjoyed a beautiful afternoon filled with a variety of teas, freshly prepared scones, sweet treats, and wonderful company. From classic favourites to fruity blends, there was something for everyone to enjoy.

🐾 Therapy Thursdays at Elsyng House 🐾

We are absolutely delighted to welcome Maggi, Nigel’s lovely dog, who visits us every Thursday! 💛
Our residents truly look forward to her visits – the smiles, laughter, and special moments shared say it all. From gentle cuddles to playful interactions, Maggi brings so much joy and comfort to everyone she meets. 🐶
Animal therapy has such a positive impact on wellbeing, helping to reduce stress, spark memories, and create meaningful connections – and Maggi is doing just that in the most beautiful way.
A big thank you to Nigel our maintenance assistant for bringing Maggi into our home and making Thursdays extra special for our residents! 🌟

At Elsyng House, part of Oakland Care, we truly believe our team are the heart of everything we do 💫
To say a big THANK YOU for their dedication, kindness, and hard work, we organised a special Staff Appreciation Day 🎉
Our team enjoyed a fun raffle where everyone picked a ticket and received a prize 🎁
From Amazon vouchers, pampering sessions in the salon (hair & nails 💅), Prosecco bottles 🥂, chocolate boxes 🍫, to even lunch outings with our residents – there were smiles all around!
It was wonderful to see so much joy, laughter, and appreciation shared across the home ❤️

Today was filled with smiles, gentle moments, and lots of cuddles as our residents enjoyed a very special visit 🐑💛
Spending time with a beautiful little lamb brought so much joy and comfort to everyone. The soft wool, the calm presence, and the chance to connect with animals created truly heartwarming moments across the home.
It’s amazing how something so simple can spark memories, conversations, and pure happiness. Our residents absolutely loved every minute of it!

Today was filled with smiles, sweet treats, and beautiful moments as we celebrated Easter with our wonderful residents 💛
Our residents were delighted to receive their Easter eggs, spreading happiness and a little bit of chocolatey joy throughout the home 🍫🐰
In the afternoon, we hosted a lovely hot cross buns tasting, with a variety of flavours for everyone to enjoy. From fruity classics to chocolate twists, it was a cosy and delicious experience shared together ☕✨
Moments like these remind us how special it is to create memories filled with warmth, laughter, and togetherness.
