Just a very polite reminder about my cancellation policy. Over the last few months I have lost hours of work through less than 24 hours cancellation. My cancellation policy has always been set and signed by all and although I appreciate unanticipated events happen, I also can’t run my business based on cancellations. It is having a massive detrimental effect not only on my business but my mental health. This is my livelihood, so please be more mindful. The summer holidays are upon us and I am offering a Personal Training package to anyone under 18. I have my own private gym with a wide variety of equipment. Please take a look at what the package includes:

• 10 one to one sessions

There is a huge amount of pressure applied to students of all ages and if I can offer an escape that can allow teenagers to enjoy themselves and keep fit then I will be doing something right.

One of the biggest reasons people don’t exercise is due to lack of interest and confidence. If what you’re doing isn’t fun then why would you commit to it? My aim is to prove exercise can be fun and enjoyable and there is no pressure to feel you have to be better than someone else. I have a range of different equipment which helps to vary every session. I offer a service where you can have 1 to 1 training and enjoy every minute of it. Even at a young age it is important to take time out of your school life and look after your mind and body. Exercise doesn’t just make us feel good about the way we look, it also helps improve our mental health at the same time. xS

I wish they showed this in schools. There are so many young girls out there that grow up into women, not understanding how body composition works or why weight is never the only indicator of someone’s health. And why would they? School based education lays the foundation for our perception of so many things. It really feels like it has let us down when it comes to matters like this. At one of my nephews football tournaments I noticed these boards dotted around the pitches and I had to take a photo. How amazing is this? We all need to support and encourage one another so that we can all be the best versions of ourselves.

Mind Over Body is all about positivity around exercise and our mental health and this board really made me smile and happy.

My goal as a Personal Trainer has always been to inspire people and for them not to give up! This month marks 8 years since I launched Mind Over Body but it also marks 14 years since I’ve been in the industry and started Personal Training for the first time. It’s been a ride full of highs and lows but I’ve loved every second of it. The lows have made me stronger, more knowledgeable and more passionate for the job I do.
