Are you or your child's other parent myopic (short-sighted)? Are you interested in finding out more about how your child's lifestyle might affect their eyes and vision?
Research conducted in other parts of the world suggests that 'lifestyle' factors such as the amount of time children spend on smartphones/tablets, how active they are, and how much time they spend outdoors may affect eye health and vision.
We want to find out if this is true for children living in Northern Ireland.

Following the advice of the health board we will return to work on Wednesday the 1st of July.

We have been asked to prioritise our appointments to include patients with eye issues and/or specific medical needs.

Unfortunately, this means we cannot issue routine reminders just yet.

Please feel free to contact us by telephone with any concerns.
Patients who have noticed a change in their vision since last test will be offered appointments.
We can also continue to order replacement glasses and contact lenses.

We hope to get approval for return to normal routine testing ASAP.

In light of the ongoing COVID-19 related risks we ask you to observe a few small changes to help us ensure minimal risk to both our staff and you our patients.

-Please make appointments, where possible, via phone to reduce footfall in the practice
-When attending appointments, please attend alone and minimise personal belongings, Children and vulnerable adults can be accompanied by one other
-Please attend appointments as close to appointed time to avoid overlap
