"When we stop to breathe, we’re not wasting time. Western capitalist civilization says 'Time is money' and that we should use our time to make money. We can’t afford to stop and breathe or enjoy a walk or marvel at the setting sun. We cannot afford to lose time. But time is more precious than money. Time is life. Coming back to our breathing and becoming aware that we have a wonderful body— this is life."
-Thich Nhat Hanh, "The Art of Living"

Strength in the Storm

I teach yoga and yoga therapy to help people find union in themselves, whatever storm they may be facing.

I work extensively with victims and survivors of the Troubles in Northern Ireland as well as with people with disabilities, chronic illness /disease and with mental health groups. I also work with community groups, schools and sports people.

I am an avid surfer and revel in the therapeutic nature of the ocean and wildness of the west of Ireland. It is my aim to bring the abundant healing energy of nature into my yoga practice and teaching. For more details, contact me or look at my website www.yogaocean.co.uk for class times and blog.
