🔍 CBCT Quality Check

One of the most common issues identified during our QC process is patient movement within the CBCT scan, most frequently seen in the anterior maxilla or mandible.

In this example, we highlight key warning signs:
• A visible ridge or line within the scan
• Loss of cortical definition and image “furriness”
• Overlapping anatomy and double imaging

When these indicators are present beyond an acceptable level, the scan can no longer be relied upon for accurate guided planning. In these cases, our recommendation is to retake the CBCT to ensure precision, safety, and predictable outcomes.

A thorough QC step is essential, because accurate planning starts with accurate data.
