Rest isn’t always the answer
Say you’ve picked up an injury
You’ve gone to see someone about it, and they tell you to stop training and rest.
This week I had a client who was told by a Consultant to take 6 weeks off then return to Rugby.
That isn’t going to work - In fact, it could make it worse or lead to further injury.
We can be smarter about it, we just need to know where the current level stands.
Get assessed, get a better plan
Then we can work backwards from where you need to be, and work systematically step by step to get you there without stopping altogether
Rehab 🤝 Training
*Now there are some circumstances where we need to stop or heavily modify things. This is where assessment and context come into play
But if you’re being told to stop with no advice on what to do in the meantime, seek out an experienced Physio
