NEW ENNISKILLEN STUDIO!

It has been a long time coming. Nine years teaching yoga and I’ve bought my own studio on the shores of the river Erne with Castle and river views. I am beyond grateful that yoga has been so good to me in so many ways. Never did I think, that when I embarked on this journey a decade ago, that I’d be in this place today. The work men are in doing their thing but I can’t wait to show you the finished product ❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏 drop me a follow if you want classes in a purpose-built, dedicated studio 👍👍

The location is 1b Old Henry St just out the Sligo Rd. Used to be Lough Erne Cakes and Atlantic Kayaks. The floor space is 1000sq foot so room for you all 😀

SOUND BATH FEEDBACK

“Brilliant experience. I want that every Friday night”
“Better than a normal bath 😂”
“ I had the best sleep ever”.
“I felt so light after, like a weight had lifted from me”.

Well, we had another amazing sound bath on Friday night with melissasoundandsoul

Some of you were asking what exactly happens at a sound bath.

A sound bath is a deeply relaxing experience where soothing sounds and vibrations are used to help calm the mind and body. During a session, instruments such as crystal singing bowls, gongs, chimes, drums, and tuning forks create layers of sound that gently wash over you. Unlike a traditional music performance, a sound bath is less about listening and more about feeling the frequencies and allowing yourself to rest, reset, and simply be present.

Many people find that sound baths help reduce stress and quiet mental chatter. The vibrations and repetitive tones can encourage the nervous system to move from a heightened “fight or flight” state into a more restorative and balanced state. As the body relaxes, breathing often slows, muscles soften, and the mind becomes calmer. Some people describe feeling lighter, clearer, or emotionally released after a session.

Sound baths can also support mindfulness and meditation. The sounds give the mind something gentle to focus on, which can make it easier to let go of worries and stay in the present moment. For those who struggle to switch off during meditation, the immersive nature of sound can create a sense of ease and help bring about a meditative state naturally.

On a deeper level, many people use sound baths as part of their wellbeing or healing journey. The experience can create space for reflection, emotional processing, creativity, and inner connection. While a sound bath is not a medical treatment, it can be a powerful complementary practice for relaxation, self-care, and overall wellbeing.

Lava & Dip just outside Kesh is just what the doctor ordered. I love what Luke Duncan has done here & this young lad is going places. This is a fantastic facility on our north Fermanagh doorstep & whether you’re a walker, cyclist, hiker, yogi or whatever your sport, this is the perfect recovery spot. If it’s just relaxing you need, then move between the sauna and the loungers. I brought a cuppa with me & read a book when cooling down. I’ve added the booksy booking link below & for £15 for 50 mins that’s less than a good bottle of wine!

Yin & Nidra are coming to Belleek - Just Two Spaces Left!

Book at https://shenhouse.co.uk/events/yin-yoga-for-sleep-relaxation-stress-relief-with-ann-monaghan-well-worth-it-4-week-programme/

Join experienced yoga instructor Dr. Anne Monaghan for four calming, grounding Yin Yoga & Yoga Nidra sessions to help you reconnect with your body, release deep‑held tension, and support your long‑term physical and mental wellbeing. With her compassionate, accessible teaching style, Anne creates a welcoming space for total beginners and seasoned yogis alike.

Yin Yoga is a gentle, floor‑based practice that works on the fascia, joints, and connective tissues. Through longer-held postures and mindful breathing, participants experience improved flexibility, reduced stress, enhanced mobility, and a powerful sense of inner stillness. It is especially beneficial for those dealing with tight hips, lower‑back discomfort, stress, or anyone craving a slower, more introspective style of yoga.

Ann brings a wealth of experience to her teaching, drawing on years of practice and training to help people move with greater ease and awareness. Her workshops emphasise safety, comfort, and empowerment—guiding each participant to listen to their own body and honour its natural rhythms. Her approach is both nurturing and deeply knowledgeable, shaped by her passion for yoga’s ability to restore balance in busy lives.

During this workshop, you will:

• Learn the foundations of Yin Yoga, Yoga Nora and their unique health benefits

• Explore long-held poses that gently target deep connective tissues

• Improve flexibility, mobility, and joint health

• Understand how breath and stillness calm the nervous system

• Leave feeling lighter, centred, and deeply restored

The session begins with breathing practices followed by Yin Yoga where postures are held for several minutes at a time and mostly practiced close to the floor. Using props such as bolsters and blankets, the focus is on gently releasing tension in the connective tissues, improving joint mobility, and encouraging stillness. Breath awareness and quiet reflection are woven throughout, allowing the body to soften and the mind to slow.

This flows seamlessly into a guided Yoga Nidra (guided yogic sleep). Participants rest comfortably while being guided through a systematic relaxation, body awareness, breath, and visualisation. Yoga Nidra supports deep rest, emotional regulation, stress relief, and mental clarity, often leaving participants feeling restored, grounded, and deeply nourished.

The overall experience is slow, nurturing, and accessible, suitable for all levels, and ideal for anyone seeking rest, balance, and nervous-system reset.

If you’re seeking a practice that releases stress, supports the body, and nurtures emotional wellbeing, Ann’s Yin Yoga workshop is truly well worth it.

PLEASE NOTE - you will require a blanket, cushions and water as well as your yoga mat. Bolsters will be provided.
