💙 Whether it’s someone’s first time on the mat or their thousandth, my intention is always the same: to offer calm, to offer care, and to hold space with presence and love.

Hello lovely people!

I have an announcement for you.

As many of you know that I work with Mind in West Essex voluntarily in different roles and occasional events, and happy to share a wonderful opportunity with you.

WE is excited to invite you to take part in a groundbreaking new study exploring the use of virtual reality ( ) to deliver .

The study, which is being run by Tend VR and the University of Manchester with a few local Minds, is calling for adults who have experienced recent or symptoms.

Participants will trial an innovative virtual Based Cognitive Therapy ( ) programme - for !

It will involve 8 sessions of around an hour over a period 8-12 weeks at one of our sites of your choice: , , or .

By participating in the study, you will:
📍Get a free VR course designed to help improve symptoms of anxiety and depression
📍Shape the future design of this service
📍Help advance the progress of VR for delivering mental health programmes

Participation is free and you will be provided with all the necessary equipment - however, you will need a .

Staff will be on hand to provide any support needed during the sessions.

You need to meet set eligibility criteria to be selected to participate.

‼️Please put your great deal of effort into teaching your children how to REST and RELAX from a young age, rather than how to turn them into a "perfect (?!)" person - or even a "good (?!)" girl/boy.‼️ ... and join them along the way! ❤️

🎈Forget about the timetable or the ABC - they'll learn that in school. I never saw any kid or adult who went school and doesn't know the timetable or the ABC. They have all the capacity to learn fast and steady as long as they enjoy what they do.

🎈Please stop teaching them manners in EVERY SINGLE occasion - Rather focus on yourself. Trust that you give a great foundation to them when you become an example. They'll naturally pick up on what you do and what they see in the family. Manners come when internalised naturally NOT with hundreds of "Learn Your Lesson" moments forced in every single occasion.

🎈Don't push them to compete for "success" - life's tough enough as it is in these days (and probably will not be any easier in near future). They can ONLY feel motivated and learn to set their goals and achieve them when they feel RELAXED.

🎈And forget about the "hard work wins" motto - it's actually counterproductive. When they know how to relax, they'll be more productive. Science says so!

🎈Multitasking is a killer. It stresses them out and leads to burnout. Our brains and bodies don't like multitasking. Mindfulness is the way to go - it boosts their thinking skills and helps them relax.

🌟 Relaxation should be a habit, and the body's natural response to rest & digest can be well-known only when practiced often and with sincerity. Otherwise, when people need it most, like during exams, in further education, or in adulthood when life gets more complex, their bodies and minds might resist relaxation at first. It can take months or even years for some people to learn how to relax, and they might give up along the way before mastering this skill. This can lead to mental health issues, depression, trauma responses, and a lack of resilience in social situations.

Well, here I am; Aslihan, the Crow! A citizen of the Earth, a community member who cares the external & internal wealth and wellbeing of all from the age of zero to 100+, mother to a gorgeous teen, a beloved wife, a keen advocate of "Stop! Drop! Rest!" with a restless past and a life long learner on the path of Yoga who found deep healing and long lasting calm in this ancient practice. More and most importantly, I am one of you!

I am also Progressive Hatha Yoga Teacher who was trained 4.5 years comprehensively and intensively by the British Wheel of Yoga (the only governing body of Yoga in the UK) for BWYQ Level 4 (500hrs) Diploma of Yoga Teaching; Advanced Restorative Yoga Teacher for Therapeutic Applications trained by Judith Hanson Lasater - one of the leading yoga teachers across the Globe ; Teen Yoga & Mindfulness Teacher trained by Charlotta Martinus - one of the most respected teen yoga teachers in the UK & rest of the world and Ayurveda In Action teacher integrating ayurvedic principles in on &off the mat practices trained by Tarik Dervish & Cathy Mae.
