LOVE IS THE CURE
"J" from Waltham Abbey crawled up to my clinic on a Zimmer frame. 86 years old and bent double in pain, he was brought in by a friend. As he crept slowly into my room, I called to his friend and asked "what the hell am I supposed to do here?" His friend replied "heard about you, you're our last hope" With that, the friend left, and here I was with an elderly man, in agony and with a face of pure anger and pain.
He screamed every time I touched him and it took 15 minutes just to get him laying down on the couch..
TBH I didn't know where to start healing this broken man so......I just spoke to him.
I asked him about himself.
Through grimaces and occasional screams "J" how he lived alone since losing his beloved wife. He sat in a chair most of the day, didn't bother eating and had stopped going out.
"Dunno why I bover carrying on" he said, "I ain't got nothing to live for."
So I said " well that's a real shame for those that love you "J"".
"What do you mean? Nobody bloody loves me" he responded angrily.
" Well, at least two people do "J", i stated.
"Who's that then?" he spat out.
"Well, someone cared about you so much they took the trouble to tell you about this clinic in Epping, and your friend loved you so much he dragged you up the stairs and brought you to this clinic."
With that said, the most amazing transformation took place
On hearing the words of love "J" let go. His anger abated, he started breathing softly again and finally looked at me. His face and features softened and he started to cry.
After a few gentle Chiropractic adjustments he got up and slowly went on his way.
Within a short time "J" was a different man. He was back out to his local snooker club meeting up with old pals, he was smarlty dressed, clean and eating well, especially on weekends when he loved his Sunday lunch at his daughters house. He was happy and loved.
It wasn't the treatment, it was the words. Knowing you are loved can cure many things.
Love ❤️ to you all this X
