After what has been a difficult and unsettling couple of weeks for Epsom, it’s genuinely heartening to be back in town today and to see it at its best.

The sunshine is out, the market is full of life, and there’s a real sense of normality returning. People chatting, supporting local traders, and simply enjoying being part of this community again, it’s a reminder of what Epsom really is.

Moments like this matter. They give us a chance to refocus on the values that make our town strong: respect for one another, tolerance, and inclusivity. Epsom has always been a place where people from all backgrounds live and work side by side, and that’s something worth protecting and celebrating.

Today feels like a small reset, a chance for us all to come together, support each other, and move forward positively as a community.
