👋 Meet Louise, Healthcare Assistant at Nuffield Health Wolverhampton.

Louise’s journey at Nuffield Health is a brilliant example of how curiosity, courage, and care can shape a career. 💚✨

🧹 Louise began her Nuffield Health journey as a Housekeeper, working across the hospital and connecting with nurses and patients. It was there she realised:

“I want to help these patients. I want to be part of their journey.”

Driven by her caring nature, Louise applied for an apprenticeship in healthcare and is now thriving in her role as a Healthcare Assistant.

🤝 Louise shares:

“The team I work with are so supportive, which gives me confidence in my role. I’ve gained so much knowledge and experience, and I feel overwhelmed by what I have achieved.”

🌱 Her favourite part of working at Nuffield Health? Building confidence while communicating with patients and having a strong support network around her.

👋 Meet Omoniyi, Senior Physiotherapist at Nuffield Health Highgate Hospital.

Omoniyi joined Nuffield Health as a locum Physiotherapist and transitioned to a permanent Senior Physiotherapist. Since then, he’s made a real impact on patient care while growing his career and supporting his team. 💚

🩺 In his role, Omoniyi runs a busy outpatient physiotherapy clinic, managing a mix of post-operative and MSK cases for adults and elderly patients (his oldest patient is 92!). From ankle and knee injuries to spine and shoulder conditions, he combines advanced care with compassion every day.

✨ On Wednesdays and Thursdays, Omoniyi runs a shockwave therapy clinic, covers inpatient wards, and leads bi-monthly CPD sessions to encourage continuous learning within the team. Working closely with orthopaedic consultants and MDT colleagues, he plays a key role in shaping patient pathways and ensuring the best outcomes for every patient.

💬 Omoniyi shares:

**“Working with the team at Highgate has been one of the most rewarding parts of my career. It really feels like a family here, and that strong team dynamic makes a big difference in how we care for our patients and support each other every day.

⚽ Outside of work, Omoniyi is part of a local football team in Enfield and values using the Nuffield Health Enfield gym, supporting his own wellbeing and the local community.

👋 Meet Sameer, Senior Radiographer at our Manchester Institute of Health and Performance (MIHP).

Sameer has been providing exceptional care through MRI scans, DEXA scans, and X-ray examinations for a wide range of patients, from NHS referrals to elite athletes. 🩻🏃‍♂️

Since joining, Sameer has expanded his expertise in DEXA scanning, MSK MRI imaging, and more recently, cardiac MRI scanning – deepening his skills while making a real impact on patient care.

💬 Sameer shares:

“One of my favourite parts of my job is working with a diverse range of patients, using advanced imaging technology to help diagnose and guide treatment for people at various stages of their health journeys.

These upgrades help us detect issues earlier and ease the experience for women, supporting our commitment to women's health.

We’re proud to lead the way in making breast screening less intimidating, so more women feel empowered to attend.

👋 Meet Richard, Building Services Engineer at Nuffield Health.

At Nuffield Health, our Building Services Engineers play a vital role in keeping our gyms 🏋️‍♂️ and pools 🏊‍♀️ safe, welcoming, and fully operational so our members can focus on their wellbeing 🌿.

Richard starts his day early 🌅, testing the pool and checking plant rooms before diving into planned maintenance 🛠️, reactive jobs 🔧, and contractor management – ensuring every part of the facility runs smoothly.

💬 “It’s a challenging and demanding role, but in return, I’ve gained a wealth of experience across a variety of disciplines,” Richard shares. “I’d recommend this job to anyone who is friendly, social , and hardworking , looking for a new challenge and open to learning new things.”

We’re Finalists! 🎉

Nuffield Health has been shortlisted for three categories at this year’s Nursing Times Awards – a fantastic recognition of the outstanding work happening across our hospital teams.

A special mention goes to Theresa Carey RN. ANP, our exceptional Spinal Nurse at Wessex Hospital, who has been shortlisted for the Nurse of the Year award – one of the most prestigious recognitions in UK nursing.

The Nuffield Health Wessex Hospital nursing team are also finalists in Team of the Year and Theatre and Surgical Nursing for our spinal framework work, a brilliant example of innovation and teamwork delivering better care for patients.

We are also a proud sponsor in another category at this year's awards - The King's Award for Integrated Approached to Care, with some incredible finalists showcasing some of the best in integrated care.
