As an experienced and versatile Specialist Nurse/Practitioner, you’ll have the opportunity to make a satisfying, rewarding difference to the lives of our patients, their families and friends, and be supported every step of the way.

You’ll work closely with your colleagues to support specific developments within the team aimed at ensuring more people achieve their preferred place of care.

It's the small moments 🕯️

On 7 December, Princess Alice Hospice welcomed friends, families and supporters for a deeply moving Light Up a Life Remembrance Service at the Hospice in Esher, a night to honour loved ones, to remember, and to come together in light and hope.

This beautiful evening of remembrance gave everyone a space to reflect on the moments that matter most, those unforgotten pieces of our hearts that stay with us long after someone’s gone. 💛

During the service, Dr Steve Nolan, Bereavement and Spiritual Care Lead at the Hospice, shared words of comfort and connection. His reflections reminded us that remembering those we’ve loved isn’t just an act of sorrow, it’s a celebration of the way their light lives on in our lives, in our memories, and in the moments we continue to carry forward.

The winter months always put a strain on our services, and this year is no different. We are forecasting our costs to rise by almost £1 million in the next year, so we need the support of our generous community now more than ever.

Team Assistant Volunteering

As a Team Assistant for Volunteering at Princess Alice Hospice, you’ll play a key role in supporting the team and working with managers across the organisation - all united by one purpose: delivering outstanding care to patients, families, and friends. You’ll be contributing to something truly meaningful and helping to make that care possible. Every day. You’ll provide essential administrative support, coordinate volunteer-related tasks, and be the first point of contact for both prospective and existing volunteers. With a warm and welcoming approach, you’ll respond to enquiries, arrange one-to-one meetings, and assist in organising volunteer social events.

We’re looking for a friendly and organised person with excellent interpersonal and communication skills who takes pride in being meticulous and accurate. If you're confident using databases and the Microsoft Office suite and enjoy working collaboratively to make a meaningful contribution, this role could be a perfect fit.

Clinical Nurse Specialist/ training post available

Our Hospice at Home service brings the skills and expertise of our highly trained and dedicated specialist team directly into our patient’s homes. This allows patients, their families, and carers access to the vital support they need at home, when time matters most.

We’re looking for an experienced and versatile Clinical Nurse Specialist with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to join our Hospice at Home team.

You’ll work autonomously within defined protocols to facilitate and provide high quality specialist nursing care to our patients. You will act as a specialist resource for other health and social care professionals on issues relating to specialist palliative care, responding to their identified requirements and initiating research and audit.

We have the option of a bespoke training package over a six-month to twelve-month period to develop into the role of a Clinical Nurse Specialist. This role would start as a Band 6, with a review of the banding after the successful completion of the training.

A relevant degree is required, and experience in palliative care or oncology is essential.

If you’re a motivated, a flexible thinker, are able to adapt to new ways of providing care to reach more patients within the community, we’d love to hear from you.
