🌺When you are struggling with overeating or binge eating the world can be a very lonely place. This is felt even more now that we are forced to isolate from each other.
🌹 I am running an online binge eating group to help you reflect, find help and support in a safe, non-judgemental environment.
🍂Binge eating thrives on secrecy and isolation when there is no one to soften that harsh, self-critical voice. But the way we talk to ourselves is hugely important on the road to recovery. When we speak with kindness and compassion we allow for the possibility of change.
🌱Taking part in a group is a great way to connect with others who know and understand exactly what you are going through. Feelings of shame often stop us reaching out for help but realising we are not alone and listening to the stories of others with compassion brings a shift in perspective.
🌸When we are constantly putting ourselves down we take away our power - our self-belief in our capacity to change. We think failure is inevitable.
🌞Group work opens our eyes to a more compassionate approach that gives us the courage and strength to move forward and believe that lasting change is possible.
🌿As a practitioner, I hold an Advanced Diploma in Eating Disorders and Nutritional Interventions from The National Centre for Eating Disorders and have a particular interest in binge eating and overeating.
🌻The group, facilitated by me, will run every Thursday from 7pm.
