Make for something that will offer rest and renewal!

Why not join us at Moorwellbeing Esher studio, for a nourishing morning to calm the nervous system.

While we weave together gentle qigong, meditation, movement and sound, our vital energy restores, allowing for clarity and purpose to arise naturally.

Finishing with a simple matcha tea ceremony in a circle to slow down, listen and begin again with intention.

Aligning the body's seven main energy centers during meditation is a powerful way to clear the emotions, bring physical relief and find clarity.

Our bodies seven chakras are like spinning wheels of energy, vital and vibrant.

Situated through the centre of the body, from the base of the torso all the way up to the crown of the head.

If these wheels aren't spinning at tip top levels the energy becomes stagnant, blocked or out of sync,
having a strong bearing on how we feel, mentally, emotionally or physically.

Chakra awareness can easily be woven into a meditation practice, using visualisation of each chakra's energetic colour, breathing exercises and mantras to encourage vital life force to flow and clear the energy blocks.

Just 10-15 minutes of chakra meditation a day can create a noticeable shift in mood and energy.

CHAKRA TILES
ROOT - Tailbone - dark red, grounding, stabilising. security.
SACRAL - Below the naval, orange, new beginnings, creativity, passion
SOLAR PLEXUS - base of sternum, yellow, power, strength, motivation
HEART - centre of chest - green, nurture, nourish, love.
THROAT - light blue, communication, self expression, listening.
THIRD EYE - centre of throat - purple, intuition, insight, the unknown.
CROWN - centre of top of head - violet white, wisdom, reflection, enlightenment.

A little bit about what I do - I've been practicing yoga & meditation for over 30 years, teaching for 12 years and loving every minute.

What I enjoy more than anything is working with wonderful women who get it!

Women who have reached midlife, are tired of rushing, holding it all together, and putting themselves last.

They have reached a point in their life where they are going through changes and they want change.

They want to slow down in a way that fits into real k life.

This is where I step in to help 'restore rhythm'.

My guidance comes from lived experience - my own, and that of the many women I work with.

I know how challenging it can feel to make space for yourself when life is full, responsibilities are many and habits of rushing run deep.

My role is not to fix or change women - you are beautiful as you are! But to gently guide, support and hold space where best and gentle movement feels possible again.

My calling is to meet you with warmth, respect and understanding - exactly as you are.

This week's classes we investigate ways to transition from kneeling to standing from a revolved twist, to crescent moon, finishing with the stability of T-pose warrior III, then to sit into a comfortable yet challenging chair pose.

Moving through these physical encounters, not only opens a doorway to better flexibility and balance but also invites nourishment, vital energy and a sense of clarity in what we do to arise naturally through each controlled movement.

Preparing for our first Women's Circle - Rest & Renewal this Saturday 17 Jan 10.30-12.30

A nourishing morning to calm the nervous system.

Restore vital energy and allow clarity & purpose to arise naturally.

We'll be weaving together gentle qigong, meditation, movement, sound and simple macha tea ceremony.

A circle to slow dow, listen and begin again with intention.

Adding eagle arms - Garudasana into this week's class, to build strength & balance and focus to releasing tension in the base of the neck and stretching the muscles between the shoulder blades.

A vulnerable area for many who are desk bound or glued to their phones.

There's also a wonderful spiritual element to the wrapping position of the arms, expressing the eagle god Garuda about to take flight, rising and soaring off into the sky.

This self embrace encourages
self-nurturing by drawing energy inward, to engage in a sense of being held and protected.

Follow this short sequence taking eagle arms through the flow to
anchor various transitions from squatting to balancing and stretching.

A lovely way to find stability amidst life's challenges.
