Many forms in Qigong are designed to calm and clear the mind and strengthen the body.

This simple form of visualising stroking your palm across the water, helps to calm the mind and improve the energy in your body.

As you settle into the gentle movement, feel the internal rhythm as the body relaxes into the flow.

Fluid powerful soft like a a gently flowing stream.

Make sure you follow my YouTube channel for more Qigong & Yoga sequences.

Popping into the because I wanted to see where my arms would go. No way were they ever going to the floor.

Forever strong you lot. I found it very tough!

But I love being a humble warrior, in these moments it makes me feel down to earth and respectful of everything I touch which is why I had to join in.

I have so much respect for all you lovely beings who rock up every Wednesday with your amazing wheely poses. Bravo to you all👏🏻👏🏻♥️♥️

I love working with a fluid form — movement, breath, and energy woven together.

In Qigong, these elements create a method filled with grace: the method in the flowing sequence that guides your body into presence, the grace in the gentle, magical energy that brings the whole practice to life.

Qigong invites physical strength and flexibility in a calm, fluid way, while activating your inner vitality — helping you feel more balanced, centred, and alive from within.

This New Year at the Esher studio, we’ll explore gentle energy practices and flowing movement forms to support:
• better flexibility
• a calmer nervous system
• renewed vitality

As the temperature drops and winter settles in, adding twists to your practice can help awaken your inner fire—Agni.

When we consciously connect with the fire element in yoga and meditation, we ignite energy that supports clarity, courage, and positive change.

Twists are especially helpful at this time of year: they help release old habits, clear stagnant energy, support digestion, and boost circulation.

The gentle squeeze-and-release action massages the internal organs, encouraging warmth from the inside out.

Here are 7 simple twists to bring more power, heat, and vitality into your winter practice—keeping you warm, energised, and glowing through the colder days.

If you’d like to explore warming sequences and gentle strength-building this winter, join me in the Esher studio on Wednesday & Friday 9.30am for classes designed especially to support women 50+.

Christmas can pull us in every direction, but your well-being matters too.

Finding even a little time for yourself - a class, a guilt breath, a moment of stillness - can make all the difference.

So in the middle of all the festive busyness, remember this: you are allowed to find small pockets of time just for you, to reset and feel supported.

You deserve space as well - to pause and reconnect. Give yourself permission to step back, amongst everything you're doing and preparing for others.

Know that a mat in my Esher studio will be here for you all through December - Or a place in your own space to follow me online, helping you to find calm, clarity and a little peace in the midst of the season.

During these next weeks leading up to Christmas, remind yourself to ‘pause’, take a moment to settle your thoughts, soften your shoulders, and know that you don’t need to carry it all.

This month, I’m reflecting on the practice that has shaped me more than anything else over the last thirty years — yoga.

There are many ways to pause your yoga practice. First and foremost is to take a mindful pause, and offer space for you to rest and clear your mind.

We can do this by integrating restorative poses that are held for a while, introducing breathwork exercises that help calm the nervous system and meditation practices to rest the mind.

Taking a mindful pause during your flow can prevent injuries and burnout and reduce physical intensity.

Try these four simple holds for a couple of minutes each and notice how you feel at the end of your practice🙏

🧘🏼‍♂️BOAT EXTENSION
🧘🏼‍♂️PANCAKE FOLD
🧘🏼‍♂️BUTTERFLY FOLD
🧘🏼‍♂️KNEE TO HEAD HUG

Join me for more pauses to integrate into your practice at my yoga studio in Esher, Surrey - Wednesdays & Fridays 9:30am.
