We’ve been quietly working hard to bring a NEW TREATMENT to MEDX 🔜

💉JOINT INJECTION PRP THERAPY!

❓What is it?
A Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) treatment utilises your own bloods’ growth factors to promote healing of soft tissues, tendons, ligaments & joints.

🦴What can be treated?
Tennis/Golfers Elbow
Arthritis
Achilles Tendon Injuries
Knee Pain
Rotator Cuff Injuries & Shoulder Pain
Wrist Pain
Ankle Injury + more!

🙋🏻How?
A sample of your blood is taken, spun in a centrifuge, and the ‘PRP’ section is reinjected to the injured area. A 48 hour rest period is usually recommended.

Ever felt like you’re being watched?! How about by thousands when your ‘injured’ player is asking you if you can see if the ref has produced a card for the opponent yet?! 😂

🚶🏻‍♀️Just so happened that most of these occasions occurred on the far side of the pitch, so you have to endure the long walk back to the dugout past fans who most of the time weren’t too gracious!

Dry Cupping - What is it? 🤔

An alternative therapy, dry cupping utilises ‘cups’ (glass or plastic) placed onto areas of tightness.

A vacuum is then formed with the cup and underlying tissues.
These cups are left in place or massaged around the area.

They aim to:
1️⃣Promote Blood Flow
2️⃣Facilitate Healing
3️⃣Reduce Pain
4️⃣Relax

Does it hurt? You may feel a mild pressure, but no, dry cupping does not hurt. You may however be left with a mild bruise to the skin from the vacuum formed, but this will go away.

Cupping is great for anyone with muscular tightness and pain, and very popular in the sporting community for recovery.

We offer cupping as a stand-alone therapy or part of massage here MEDX Sport Medicine 🙌🏻
