Christmas is coming!! Cookery club today saw residents making the Christmas cakes in preparation for a right good soaking over the next couple of weeks!! 😉 The smell is amazing!! The temptation is real!! Let's hope we can hold out till Christmas!! Well done guys!! 🎄🤶🎄🎅

It wouldn't be Halloween without watching Hocus Pocus, would it?! So of course when we said pyjama party this lot were all over it! Snuggles under blankets, popcorn and treats, what more could you ask for! Oh yeah, the staff to join in!

What an afternoon!! In just a few short weeks our Meenu is getting married!! So today the residents threw her a hen party!! We've danced, laughed and eaten cake, given worldly advice, toasted the bride and thrown the bouquet!! 👰🎉🥂💐

This week saw the last of the dementia bus training! The training has allowed staff to experience the confusion, frustration, and isolation that individuals with dementia may feel, giving them a deeper empathy and a better insight into how individuals live with dementia, and changes they could make to enhance the lives of others! ❤️

Briarlea, a lovely detached building, is set in 4 acres and was originally constructed around 1900. The home has undergone several extensions, the latest being completed in 2019, where 5 extra luxury bedrooms were added. Briarlea boasts a large garden room with access to the patio and garden area and has a further two day rooms comprising of the drawing room and library. We also have a dedicated dining room where the residents can enjoy home cooked foods. As well as providing care for permanent residents, Briarlea also offers respite and day care. There is a dedicated member of staff for creating interesting activities for residents and most bedrooms offer single en-suite accommodation.
