ENERGY AUDIT – WHERE DO YOU SPEND YOUR ENERGY
80/20 Rule
The 80/20 rule was put forward by Wilfred Pareto, a 19th-century economist, who was surprised to discover 80 per cent of the world's wealth was concentrated in the hands of 20 per cent of the population. What was even more remarkable to him was that this 80/20 divide seemed to hold true in nearly every area of life.
Check to see how many of these 80/20 patterns are true for you:
• 80 per cent of your time is spent on 20 per cent of your problems.
• 80 per cent of your successes come from 20 per cent of your efforts.
• 80 per cent of the wear on your carpets takes place in 20 % of your home.
• 80 per cent of the time you wear 20 per cent of your clothes.

THE ENERGY AUDIT
Here is a version of the 80/20 rule you can use for yourself:
1. Do an 80/20 audit on the people, activities and situations in your life. Ask yourself these questions:
* What are the 20% of your activities that bring you 80 per cent of your results?
* What are the 20% of your activities and areas of your life in which you experience 80% of your anxiety/stress?
* What are the 20% of your activities and areas of your life in which you experience 80% of your happiness?
* Who are the 20% of the people in your life with whom you share 80% of your best experiences?
* Who or what increases your energy when you think about them?
* Who or what reduces your energy?
2. Based on the above, what should you be doing less of?
* What would be worth doing more of?
3. With whom would it be worth spending more time?
* With whom would it be worth spending less time?
4. If you had only one month to live what would you let go of from your life?
* Which of those things can you let go of anyway? What’s stopping you letting go now?
Remember you have a choice to do what is best for you.

Do your childhood beliefs effect how you behave now. I have felt fear all this week because of having to wear a mask. It was only this morning I realised part of me, the little girl who had watch tv and saw that people who wear masks are baddies was scared. Bank robbers hid their lower faces, kidnappers portrayed as hiding faces and even in Scooby Doo they pulled masks of the baddies. So people who wear masks must be bad was the simplistic belief she made That little part was scared she would be a baddy if she wore a mask. I've let that fear go now. Do you have fears you can't understand and holding you back?

We can’t control what is happening at the moment. Our world has changed, all our structured days are different. Change, whether good or bad, can cause stress and anxiety. To get through this put structure in your day, put your attention on what you can control and let go the need to do more. Take each day as it comes but do give yourself a routine, set yourself tasks for each day, that way you can feel you’ve achieve. Be kind to yourself and those with you. Stay connected in whatever way you can.
