A glorious day at staff wellbeing event, such a welcoming and hard working crew.
We spent the afternoon offering small moments of pause on busy days, simple ways to reset, breathe, and feel more in control.

Of course, a safari setting called for some animal metaphors, from the restless monkey mind to the wise, still lion. 🐒🦁

Huge thanks to the whole team for making space for wellbeing in the wild. It was a real pleasure to be part of the day. 😊🙏🏽

Sometimes, it’s not about striving or fixing.
It’s about allowing.
Trusting that growth happens, even in stillness.
Especially in stillness.

Basho’s haiku reminds us that we don’t have to chase every solution. Nature models ease. The grass grows not because we force it to, but because the conditions are right.

What if your wellbeing was the same?

Let this be your gentle reminder today:
Pause. Breathe. Trust the process.
You’re allowed to grow slowly.
You’re allowed to do nothing.

Ever felt like you're sprinting through the day with no time to breathe?

I created this post for anyone who's felt caught in the swirl of doing, without space to "just be".

Here are 3 tiny practices you can weave into your workday:
🌬️ Breathe before your first email
🦶 Feel your feet before you present
👀 Notice three things after your next meeting

They're simple, practical, and surprisingly effective at resetting your nervous system.

Small shifts. Big difference.

If you'd like a gentle moment like this in your inbox each week, you can join our 'Five to Thrive' email list here:

“Kids can’t always sit still, and that’s perfectly okay.
But they can still learn to slow down, pay attention, and reconnect.”

We’ve just published a free guide full of simple, mindful outdoor activities for families to try together.
They’re playful, gentle, and designed to help build confidence, calm, and connection, without needing apps, equipment, or perfect weather.

💚 Ideal for teachers, parents, or anyone supporting children through change, challenge or just the busyness of everyday life.

💚 And feel free to share it with someone who might find it helpful.

Gratitude is easy when life feels good: sunny days, small wins, cosy moments. But what about when things get messy?

Living without hot water or heating in our new home has been tough, but it’s also shown Alex and me how little we need and how much we already have. It’s a lesson in what I call radical gratitude: finding something to appreciate in all of life, even the challenges.

In my latest blog post, I share how this mindset can shift our perspective and why it’s so powerful; even backed by science.

Does life feel like it’s constantly pulling you in too many directions?

When we get busy, the first things to go are often the ones that nourish us—those small moments that bring calm and joy. What’s left can leave us feeling stuck, overwhelmed, and drained.

In my latest blog post, I share how recognising the balance between nourishing and depleting activities can make a difference, and why a simple pause can help you take back control of your day.

If you had to list them, what’s nourishing you right now? And what’s draining you?
