We note that the Evesham Journal has expressed concerns around the findings of the most recent NHS Patient Survey.

It is worth noting that the NHS Patient Survey covers 20 areas which patients can rate according to satisfaction.

Of the 20 areas, almost all were within a few percent of the national average (percentage of patients rating satisfaction as good) and in 16 of the 20 areas Abbey Medical Practice exceeded or was the same as the national average result for GP Practices.

Importantly in the final criteria of overall satisfaction 84% of Abbey Medical Practice patients rated their experience as good against a national average of 75%.

We are proud of our results but will endeavor to do better in the future.

Our Patient Participation Group works to improve communication between our practice and patients - helping us to make sure the services we offer work for our community.

Qualified Dispenser
28.5 hours per week Monday to Friday
Starting Salary: £12.35 per hour

We are seeking an NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) qualified Dispenser to join our busy Dispensary Team.

Duties include dispensing medication, checking dispensed items, ordering of stock, dealing with customer enquires and general Dispensary duties.

NVQ 2 level qualification or above is essential, as are excellent customer service skills, a conscientious approach and the ability to work flexibly within a small team. Full training on the Practice’s Dispensing systems will be provided.

Please note that from 1st April 2025, there will no longer be a phone line into the dispensary to order medication or for general enquires.

We recommend that you download the NHS app to order your medication however you can also email the dispensary team for any medication orders or enquires at hwicb.abbey.ordermedication@nhs.net

You can also drop your medication requests in at the dispensary counter at the practice.
