This lovely patient of mine has helped so many people in her life. She felt it was now time for her. Even in her youth she’d felt self-conscious about her lower eyebags. She felt she looked constantly tired even though she felt wide awake inside. She did her research and presented to my clinic to ask if I could help 👍🏼
Her case is very interesting. Her concern was eyelid skin and fatty collections under her eyes, but this was actually also about her bone structure. Please look at her side profile images and you’ll notice a deficiency in the projection of her lower eye socket bone (infraorbital ridge), giving her cheek a sunken appearance. I’ve drawn a dotted yellow line to illustrate. Can you see that her eyeball surface is further forward than her cheek? The dotted line goes backwards 😉
We discussed this in detail and agreed to proceed with a lower eyelid blepharoplasty supported with midface lift and a specialised tear trough implant to augment her bone deficiency. Can you see in her postop photo that her cheek now projects in front of her eyeball surface? Here, the dotted line now goes forwards, due to her new cheek fullness. What I have done is correct her “negative vector” eye socket and this was a key element in treating her lower eyebags that would not be addressed with standard lower eyelid surgery 🙌🏼
Here she is four months after surgery so pleased with her radiant happy eyes! She looked bright and cheerful, just as she felt inside 😊

She works in the beauty industry but had hated the size of her nose since a long time before, in her youngest teenage years. It had hugely affected her self-confidence when growing up, especially affecting how she felt and held herself when meeting new people. She felt it had held her back for long enough, so she did her research and made an appointment to see me 👍🏼
She presented some anatomical challenges including appreciable asymmetry in her facial bone and nasal bone structure as well as a narrow breathing space, particularly on one side, which we discussed in detail, including how I’d do my best to protect her breathing whilst reshaping her nose during surgery. This and supporting the nasal tip often require delicately balanced cartilage graft manoeuvres to provide structural support. After a second consultation during which we rediscussed risks, complexities and possible benefits, she decided to proceed ✨
It was such a pleasure to watch her breeze into my review clinic six months later with a gentle smile, a sparkle in her eye and an air of confidence in her walk. She was so happy with her new nose - it’s why I do what I do! I love how that newfound confidence and happiness can permeate through everything around a person 🙌🏼

My lovely patient in her 40s had completed her family but felt that her tummy had lost strength and shape. She’d tried many tummy exercises but they didn’t seem to help. She’d wear drawstring jeans with support panels to support her tummy as it was uncomfortable. When she rolled over in bed her tummy pulled and felt floppy. She wondered if I could help restore her tummy with surgery and made an appointment to see me 👍🏼
She had a little excess tummy skin but her re**us muscles were widely separated (called re**us divarification or diastasis recti) from pregnancy. This caused her difficulties in activating their power, so her insides were not controlled and thus protruded. Her muscles were strong but were no longer in their original position. Exercise cannot resolve this - sorry, but it’s true 😔
We agreed on an “umbilical float abdominoplasty” with liposuction to help repair her muscle split and restore her shape and core power. This involves removal of lower tummy skin and a full muscle repair, but without creating a new belly button. Instead her high belly button was brought lower, giving apparent heightening of the torso. And here she is a few months later feeling strong and “held in place” with a beautiful silhouette. Restoring anatomy can improve core strength as well as self-esteem! 😊

She’d been contemplating a facelift since she hit her 50s, having experienced a sudden and dramatic change in her face and neck, with skin looseness causing jowls and neck sag. “I look in the mirror and it’s not me - it’s the sag,” she said. It was upsetting her and she felt like she needed a boost in her self-esteem, which had been hit significantly due to these changes. She saw a nonsurgical aesthetics practitioner who recommended she see me instead to consider surgery, since he felt nonsurgicals could not help👏🏼
We discussed the options and I explained the risks in two separate consultations, agreeing together that the best way forward to address her concerns was a deep plane facelift and corset platysmaplasty necklift. She weighed everything up and decided to proceed 👍🏼
And here she is six months later feeling so happy with her smooth, taut neck, restored jawline and heart shaped face of youth! There are many types of facelifts but I honestly believe that there are none that can compare with a proper deep plane approach. I’ve been doing deep plane for over a decade - yes, technically more demanding, but so worth it 🙌🏼

He’d never had concerns at all about his facial appearance but one day a dentist pointed out that he should look into jaw surgery to improve his facial aesthetics...! His teeth were fine but suddenly he started to look at himself in a way he’d never done so before. Upsettingly for him, he started felt really self-conscious of his facial profile when previously he’d been completely unaware. Now his attention had been drawn to his chin, he tried, but he simply couldn’t unsee it and it knocked his self-esteem greatly 😔
He did his research and presented to my clinic. These conversations must be delicately handled, because on the one hand I never want to introduce self-consciousness that never existed and on the other, I do need to talk carefully about the full variety of options available. In the end it was very clear that his specific and only concern was to increase his chin projection. We agreed upon a genioplasty with a chin implant to give him a permanent result 👍🏼
And here he is feeling like a different man - he no longer feels self-conscious at all about his chin and actually he couldn’t help holding his head up high! I tried very hard to take photos with no smile and with his chin level for fair comparisons but he was so happy that he kept standing tall and smiling! That’s of course the best possible outcome that we both could have hoped for 🙌🏼

This lovely patient of mine had always felt that she had overly large, heavy breasts. She wanted them to feel lighter and less sagged; they pulled down on her and felt uncomfortable. She also felt self-conscious of her tummy overhang and indented scars from previous operations and pregnancies. It had all affected her confidence for over twenty years and she wanted to explore surgery as an option to help. She presented to my clinic based on recommendations 👍🏼
We discussed her options, including doing nothing, single stage surgery with breast and tummy operations together, or two separate shorter operations. Her preference was to take things step by step, hit her target weight and undergo tummy surgery followed by breast surgery, with two recovery periods but less risk of complications. I discuss options with all of my patients, helping to balance risk and benefit so that each can settle upon a plan with which they feel comfortable 👍🏼
Here she is a few months after her second operation super happy. She’d loved exploring for a new wardrobe and in particular wearing fitted dresses at social gatherings, feeling very confident inside 🙌🏼 It’s so rewarding to help restore self-esteem - it can work wonders for a person’s outlook on life in general 😊

Ever since she was a child, she had always really hated the bump on her nose. It made her unhappy and caused her to dislike having photos taken, especially from her side. She always noticed her bump and wished that it could be removed 😔
She researched her options and wondered if a rhinoplasty might help her. She found examples of my work and this gave her the confidence to arrange a consultation in my clinic. We discussed her goals in detail, options that could help, and, as always, I took her through a full description of a surgical approach with diagrams so that she could fully grasp not only what the risks of surgery are but also why they can happen. It’s very important to me that my patients truly understand what their surgery entails, including potential downsides; not only potential benefits. She hoped for a natural result without a bump and with a more refined nasal tip with comfortable breathing 👍🏼
With these goals in mind, we agreed to proceed with a rhinoplasty and it went very well. Here she is feeling super happy and so much more confident with comfortable breathing and a very beautiful nose that she loves 😊

This lovely patient of mine has such a bubbly and warm character, but inside she was really upset with her tummy. She’d had three babies, including twins, and felt her c-section scar had “wrecked” her tummy. She described her tummy as “wobbly”, “jiggly” and an “overhang” and had really tried to bring her old tummy back with exercises but it didn’t work. She decided to see me in clinic, wondering if surgery might help 👍🏼
She had a widened muscle gap that was pulling her belly button to her right, and showed me her roll of tummy skin draping over her c-section scar that she simply couldn’t shift. A re**us divarification (also called diastasis recti) with such a wide gap cannot be narrowed without physically repairing it together with surgery, and tummy exercises cannot shift loose, excess skin. She decided to proceed with a tummy tuck, muscle repair and liposuction 👍🏼
Here she is nearly a year later with a beautiful, stable result and a strong abdominal wall with no gap in her muscles. She’s such a joyful patient, and this time she was smiling outside as well as inside and loving her new tummy, figure and her abdominal strength. Am so grateful that she let me share her results 🙏🏼😊

She’d felt uncomfortable about her nose for many years following injury and it was really affecting her confidence to the extent that she avoided photos. She disliked how the left side of her nose bulged outwards and she felt her nose tip was bulbous and lacked shape. One day, after doing her research, she decided to make an appointment to see me in clinic, wondering if surgery might help 👍🏼
Her internal nose was complex with a difficult septum and significant risk to her breathing should she choose to proceed with surgery. We talked these through carefully and gradually formulated a plan regarding what I could do and what I might be able to do depending on what I finally found during surgery. My main concern was that I’d really need to work hard to preserve her breathing, whilst also refining her overall nasal shape. She contemplated this carefully, particularly regarding the breathing risk, and decided to proceed 💪🏼
And here she is nearly a year after surgery, so happy with her new nose. Her breathing had actually been improved by surgery and the several accumulative refinements here and there in her nasal shape had given her a more defined and refined nose with which she felt so much more confident. Am really grateful that she trusted me with reshaping her nose 😊
