💙 Improving Your Experience at Pinhoe Pharmacy

We are always looking for ways to make visiting the pharmacy more comfortable for our patients.

Over the past couple of weeks, we’ve made a few small changes inside the pharmacy to create more space and add additional seating. We’ve introduced two extra chairs this week and two more last week, giving patients a bit more room and comfort while waiting.

These may seem like small improvements, but they are part of our ongoing effort to make the pharmacy a welcoming and supportive place for everyone who visits.

As always, your experience matters to us, and we’re continually looking for ways to improve.

Pinhoe Pharmacy is an award-winning, forward-thinking independent pharmacy with a strong reputation for patient care, clinical services, and a supportive team culture. As we continue expanding our clinical services, we’re looking for a part-time pharmacist (2.5–4 days per week) to join our friendly, well-staffed team.

You’ll be working alongside our full-time pharmacist Bee, with owner Archie on site for support. You will never be left working alone.

- Mondays: 8:45–18:00

- Alternate Saturdays: 9:00–12:30

We're celebrating Denise and 5 years of dedication! 🎉

This year marks five years with Denise as part of the Pinhoe Pharmacy team, and we truly couldn’t imagine the pharmacy floor without her.

As our Senior Supervisor of the OTC section, Denise plays a vital role in keeping everything running smoothly. From expertly supporting customers and managing the shop floor, to carrying out blood pressure checks and administering flu and Covid vaccinations, she brings professionalism, warmth and reassurance to every interaction.

Her loyalty, hard work and commitment to patient care make a real difference every single day, and we are incredibly grateful for everything she does for our team and our community.

After sharing our Quarterly Service Award winners, we thought it was the perfect time to spotlight another valued member of the Pinhoe Pharmacy family.

You may recognise this friendly face… it’s our very own Glenn! Reimagined in the viral AI cartoon style that’s everywhere right now! Even better, this brilliant AI artwork was generated by Glenn’s daughter, which makes it extra special.

While the illustration might be digital, the dedication behind it is very real. Glenn is one of our three fantastic delivery drivers, making sure patients receive their medicines safely and on time, whatever the weather.

Our delivery drivers play such an important role in supporting our community, especially for patients who rely on home deliveries. We’re incredibly proud of the whole team for the care, kindness and professionalism they show every day.

As we come to the end of another busy year, we’d like to take a moment to say a heartfelt thank you to our wonderful team and community.

This week, one of our three dedicated drivers, Glenn, was gifted a Christmas hamper by Archie and Monika as a small token of appreciation for his hard work and reliability throughout the year.

Glenn, along with our whole delivery team, plays such an important role in making sure our patients receive the care and medicines they need, especially when it matters most.

Another thankful customer 🙌

Today, our very own Fiona Downing safely removed a pen lid from a patient’s ear. Yes, a pen lid! The patient had been using it to scratch inside their ear, and it ended up getting stuck.

Thanks to Fiona’s expertise and calm, reassuring approach, the patient walked out feeling relieved and comfortable again.

Moments like this highlight why our team is dedicated to providing safe, accessible healthcare for our community here in Pinhoe, just as we have for decades as an award-winning, family-run pharmacy caring for local people.
