Sharing Success – Tell Your Story.

Would you like to tell your story about how being Deaf is part of your life? We are looking for Deaf BSL users to share their stories.

You can talk about your skills, strengths, and achievements, big or small.

You can also share challenges and what has helped you do well.

Sharing Success is a project by Disability Together and Bath Spa University.

It is funded by We are the People.

We want to show real stories about disabled and D/deaf people’s strength, talent, and success.

Can you join us on Thursday 16 October? This can be in Exeter or online.

The chat will take about 30 to 40 minutes and you will get a £30 voucher to thank you for your time.

Your story will be anonymous (your name will not be used).

Disability Together is the new name for Living Options Devon.

Why the change? Over the years we've grown and evolved – now supporting more than 10,000 Disabled people every year through wellbeing activities, advocacy, peer support, training and advice. But there are many more people that could benefit from our services.

We asked our community – staff, trustees, volunteers, partners and the people who use our services, many told us that the old name was sometimes unclear and even a barrier. Our old name wasn’t clear about who we support or the way we work.

Disability Together puts Disabled people are at the heart of all we do. Working together we can reach more people, join with more organisations, and remove more barriers to inclusion.

Our new strapline is ‘Because every ability matters.’ It recognises the different strengths of the people we support, and it shows our promise to help everyone live with choice, control and opportunity.
We hope you like our new look and name!

[Image description: 'Disability Together' is the new name for Living Options Devon is the main text. A deep teal font against a crisp clear white background. The Disability Together logo is a flower, the same deep teal with a pop of bright pink from a vertical line that separates the strapline 'Because every ability matters.' A gentle turquoise wave runs along the bottom.]
