Here Claire tells you all about her Slimming World journey

"Since joining Lyndsay’s Slimming World group I have learned so much about what good support means - our Saturday morning group is full of lovely people (and not all women!) who I now class as friends and I so look forward to meeting up each week - it feel more like a “social” than a weight loss group - although of course we do also chat about this subject too!

Our group is so supportive if you happen to have had not such a great week - we’ve all been there.
The tips, recipes, and encouragement really do help. I know for sure they I would never have got to my Target weight had it not been for this group and Lyndsay’s support.

So, I’ve said goodbye to 5 stones since joining and this has become a way of life now, rather than being “on a diet” - I eat healthier, and feel healthier.

Favourite recipes? There are so many to choose from as there is an abundance available via the Slimming World App and recipe books. I like simple - so the Take 5 recipes are magic as you only need (yes!) 5 items to make a delicious chicken and mushroom risotto for instance.

If you are considering joining Slimming World - do it!
It’s not scary, we are all in it together and the results are worth it. And it’s not just about what those scales say - being able to walk up a floor for of stairs without having to catch breath, knees that no longer ache on the shortest of walks, and suddenly realising that that belt now needs to be drawn in because a waistline has appeared! Your confidence will soar!"

Me and leaflets are cursed this January- we have had an awful flu bug that kept me off spreading the Slimming World news about my groups in Exeter, then we had snow and ice and now we have rain and hail stones.

My groups are open no matter the weather though in Heavitree, Pinhoe and Whipton every week so why not use this as your virtual leaflet inviting you to come along and get into your 2026 weight loss success with real foods and real support.
