🎙️ Exciting news from Fertility Exeter!

Our Senior Embryologist, Jo, was recently interviewed on the Nutrition Uncovered podcast discussing our ongoing research into male fertility and plant-based diets. 🌍💡

This important study is now in its final stages, and we’re looking for the last few participants:
👨‍🔬 3 spots left for control subjects — that’s someone who doesn’t change their diet but takes part in all the testing.
🥗 5 spaces left in January for full participants who will take part in the full dietary programme (you can, of course, join before January — but starting then means you can enjoy a flexible Christmas and kick off the new year with a health boost, with added support from national and international movements such as Veganuary 🌱).

After these are filled, recruitment will close, so if you’re interested in helping us advance fertility research, now’s the time!

As part of Baby Loss Awareness Week (9 - 15 October 2025), to show our support to all of those affected and as an opportunity for families and colleagues to remember those gone too soon, we are holding four remembrance events at both of our acute hospital sites. Details are in the image.

Please come along and tie a ribbon on a tree as a show of love, support and remembrance.

Putting patients first means staying at the forefront of reproductive science 💙. Last week our embryologists Jo and Jess did just that — Jo helped run a national event in Birmingham focussing on further education in embryology and then presented preliminary findings from the S.P.E.R.M study at the Association of Reproductive and Clinical Scientists (ARCS) annual conference, with Jess joining her at both. We’re proud of their dedication to advancing science and patient care 👩‍🔬✨.

📢 We have just 5 baseline testing slots available in September for the S.P.E.R.M Study!

🍽️Joining in September means you’ll complete your 12-week commitment in time to enjoy full dietary freedom over Christmas!

📋Recruitment will continue into early January, so you can join the study at any time — but these pre-Christmas places and the limited January slots are likely to go fast
