We are looking for a post-doc! Applications are invited for a neuronal cell biologist to work on a research project at the Living Systems Institute to decipher the function of Wnt signalling in synaptogenesis. This is an exciting opportunity to undertake functional studies of Wnt signalling in induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC)-derived cortical neurons. Hot off the press: Vangl2 promotes the formation of long cytonemes to enable distant Wnt/β-catenin signaling. We show that Vangl2 regulates the length of Wnt-bearing cytonemes in the zebrafish, the mouse intestinal crypt, and in human gastric cancer cells.
