My background includes working as a primary school teacher and fitness instructor; the latter of which I still do weekly and is one of my main passions. While my two children were small, I decided to embark on the Complete Bodywork Diploma in 2014, gaining a distinction in Swedish Massage that’s accredited by the Association for Physical and Natural Therapists. I have always danced and been involv
ed in sport since childhood which developed in to my love of fitness; leading me to qualify as a fitness instructor in 2006. My massage qualification complimented my work as an instructor perfectly and for this reason I use a health and fitness approach to my massage treatments by always considering how it can help individuals maintain an active lifestyle. My physio degree and experience in the fitness industry enables me to provide advice on targeted exercises where necessary according to individual need. Massage carries a wealth of benefits for the mind as well as the body and I believe it can help to restore balance between the two. My treatments may be therapeutic and relaxing or dynamic and invigorating to best suit you as a client and we will decide on your treatment together during a short, informal consultation. This is currently being undertaken over the phone to minimise the time spent face to face. Please feel free to contact me on my page or via email if you have any questions at all. I always recommend your first treatment is an hour to allow me to assess the whole body and discover any problem areas, however subsequent treatments need not always require this amount of time. I also hold an up to date First Aid Certificate and I am fully insured with Balens Insurance. Please note that cancellations within 24 hours will incur a 50% treatment fee. Laura :)
