SWAAHB UNISON Branch Statement – A396 Major Incident Response
📍 Thursday 17 July 2025PM

We are deeply saddened by the tragic events that occurred today on the A396 this afternoon. Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences go out to everyone affected, especially the families and loved ones enduring such loss and distress.

We stand in full solidarity with our members and all frontline 999 colleagues who responded with courage and professionalism during such a traumatic incident. Your dedication in the face of adversity is a testament to the values of compassion, service, and care that define our NHS family.

To the families impacted, we extend our unwavering support. We also thank all emergency service partners involved for their swift and selfless actions.

We will continue to support our members in every way possible in the days ahead.
