Elite Lifestyle Medicine LTD 🩺Frontline A&E doctor teaching structured metabolic recovery to busy professionals to avoid burn out. The Midlife Mojo Doctor. Health, uncomplicated.

Support from both sides of the Stethoscope. Mojo, restored. I’m Dr. Kiri — The Midlife Mojo Doctor 🩺

After nearly 27 years as a frontline doctor, I know what it’s like to run on empty—living on caffeine and sugar, juggling everyone’s needs, and wondering if the brain fog, bloating, and exhaustion are just part of midlife. I’d lose it over small things—traffic, laundry, forgetting why I walked into a room. In my forties, I was burnt out, inflamed, and thinking, is this it? Spoiler: it wasn’t. I stopped masking symptoms and started listening to my body. Natural nutrition and lifestyle medicine became my rescue plan—no diets, no extremes, just realistic changes that worked. I’m still gobsmacked at my results, which I’ve sustained the past 3 years effortlessly, and how it has made my life easier and so much happier, and this is why I’m on a mission to help others just like me to do the same. It’s game-changing to get your MOJO back! It lights me up to see my clients achieve the same. It gives me such a buzz seeing them fly high once more, rocking their world! I’m a cheerleader and accountability buddy, and I get what it’s like. Now, as The Midlife Mojo Doctor, I help busy professionals (especially those secretly running on empty) reclaim their energy and feel like themselves again. You don’t have to sacrifice your health to keep everything else going. And don’t say you’re too busy—I’m a single parent, doctor, coach, teenage referee/taxi, and dog mum. If I can do it, so can you. This isn’t about overhauling your life. It’s about fitting simple, sustainable steps into your real world. If you’re ready to get your MOJO back—energised, focused, and in control—let’s connect

Many professionals look successful on the outside.

Behind the scenes it can feel very different.

Long hours. Constant responsibilities. A brain that never switches off.

And a quiet routine many people rely on to get through the day.
Coffee. Sugar. Willpower.

I know this world well. I lived it as an A&E doctor.
That experience is exactly why I care so much about metabolic health and lifestyle medicine.

Small, realistic changes in how we eat, sleep and manage stress can completely change how our energy and focus feel day to day.

At BizFest 2026 I’ll be sharing practical ways busy professionals can rebuild energy and protect their long term health.

If you’re coming along I’d love to connect. Find me at the Sisters and Sequins Lounge.

One thing that surprised me when I started studying lifestyle medicine.

How powerful small daily habits can be.

Many people think improving health requires extreme diets or huge changes.

In reality, consistent small shifts often make the biggest difference.

Regular sleep
More stable blood sugar
Reducing ultra processed foods
Managing stress better

Over time these changes can dramatically improve energy, metabolic health and overall wellbeing.

Working in A&E I see what happens when those patterns go unchecked for years.

That insight is one of the reasons I started Elite Lifestyle Medicine Ltd alongside my NHS work.

Support from both sides of the stethoscope.

Which daily habit do you think has the biggest impact on long term health?

If willpower worked, you wouldn’t still feel stuck.

Many high achievers believe they just need more discipline.

But the truth is — most people are relying on willpower alone.

The real issue is often your metabolism.

Ultra-processed foods are engineered to override our natural fullness signals.
Stress alters hunger hormones.
Lack of sleep weakens impulse control.

So when evenings unravel, it’s not because you’re weak.

Biology is involved.

When we support the body with real food, good sleep, and stress management, behaviour change becomes much easier and far more sustainable.

I'm curious…
Where are you relying on willpower right now?

Things I see every week in A&E that many people ignore for too long.

Persistent fatigue
Rising blood pressure
Blood sugar creeping up
Poor sleep becoming normal
People pushing through stress for years

None of these usually start suddenly.

They build quietly over time.

The encouraging news is that lifestyle changes can often dramatically improve metabolic health long before serious disease develops.

Food, sleep, movement, stress and connection all matter.

Small daily habits really do add up.

Working on the frontline has reinforced that lesson for me again and again.

Which of these warning signs do you think people tend to ignore the longest?

Nobody talks about this part of burnout.

Burnout doesn’t always look dramatic.

You still perform.
You still deliver.
You still meet deadlines.

But inside, you feel exhausted.

Energy drops.
Sleep becomes lighter.
Patience disappears.

Many high performers live like this for years.

Until the body demands recovery.

Burnout is often slow and quiet rather than sudden.
Recognising early signals makes recovery much easier.

Have you experienced this?

If you have I’d be delighted to help.

Here to make your health uncomplicated.

One day in A&E I realised I was walking the same road as many of the patients I was treating.

Like many doctors working in emergency medicine, I had fallen into a familiar pattern.

Adrenaline fuelled shifts. Coffee to keep going. Quick sugar hits between patients.

Busy shift. Grab caffeine. Carry on.

On the outside everything looked fine.

Inside I was exhausted.

What struck me most was this.

Every day in A&E I was seeing the consequences of metabolic stress in the patients coming through the department. High blood sugar. Rising blood pressure. Fatty liver. Chronic fatigue. Falling ill with infections.

And suddenly I recognised the same pattern in myself.

That moment made me stop and ask a difficult question.

Where exactly was this road leading?

I started learning far more about lifestyle medicine and metabolic health. Food, sleep, stress, movement and connection.

Small changes began making a huge difference. Energy improved. Brain fog lifted. Life felt lighter again.

That experience changed the direction of my work.

I still work in A&E today.

Alongside it, I created Elite Lifestyle Medicine Ltd to help busy professionals like you break the caffeine, sugar and stress cycle before it breaks them.

Support from both sides of the stethoscope.

Helping you restore your health and get your mojo back.

Because exhaustion should not be the price of a successful life.

What is one habit that has made the biggest difference to your own energy levels?

Many people have connected with me this week after the win, so I thought I’d share a little more about who I help.

I work with busy professionals who look fine on the outside but feel exhausted underneath.

The ones running on caffeine, sugar and determination.

Often juggling demanding careers, family life and very little time for themselves.

Many are dealing with things like rising blood sugar, blood pressure issues, stubborn weight gain, chronic inflammation, fatty liver, fatigue or poor sleep.

As a frontline A&E doctor and lifestyle medicine coach, I help them break the caffeine, sugar and stress cycle before it breaks them.

Not through extreme diets or perfection.

Through structured metabolic recovery. Simple habits that fit real life.

Support from both sides of the stethoscope.

Helping people restore their health and get their mojo back.

ā€œRelying on weight-loss drugs to tackle obesity would be a societal failure.ā€

That was the warning from UK Chief Medical Officer Chris Whitty this week.

As a doctor, I see both sides of this issue.

In A&E I treat the consequences of poor metabolic health every day.

Heart attacks.
Strokes.
Uncontrolled type 2 diabetes.
Severe infections.

These conditions rarely happen overnight. They build slowly as metabolism becomes disrupted.

But I also see the other side in my metabolic health coaching.

When people stabilise blood sugar, improve nutrition and sleep better, the body often starts to recover.

Energy improves.
Cravings settle.
Weight begins to regulate.

The problem is the environment people are navigating.

Ultra-processed foods dominate supermarket shelves.

Even products labelled ā€œhealthyā€ often contain added sugars, refined starches, cheap ingredients and additives designed to keep us eating more.

So when people struggle with weight, it is rarely a lack of discipline.

It is biology colliding with a powerful food system.

Weight-loss drugs may help some patients.

But if our main strategy becomes medication rather than prevention, education and healthier food environments, we are treating symptoms rather than causes.

What do you think?

Are weight-loss injections a solution to the obesity crisis, or a sign that something deeper in our food system needs fixing?
