We've written a joint letter with the British Medical Association to the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions urging that Long COVID be recognised as an industrial disease. This long-overdue change would align the UK with over 50 countries worldwide, and ensure workers with Long COVID can access the financial support they need. Currently the UK is lagging behind and the huge sacrifice made by permanently affected health and care workers hailed as heroes during the pandemic is not being properly acknowledged or compensated.
