Monday :“We had a lovely week, beginning with the target shot and@ one-to-one sessions. Some residents attended the outing, and in the afternoon, everyone enjoyed a fun fitness exercise session led by Bertie

Tuesday :“On Tuesday, we celebrated St. Patrick’s Day. All the residents came outside to enjoy the sunshine and really appreciated it. Some helped decorate the whole house with St. Patrick’s Day decorations, while our lovely chef prepared a beautiful and delicious cake. It was a wonderful day.”

Wednesday :“On Wednesday , we had a lovely live music entertainment session with Naomi. It was a truly magical moment, and everyone really enjoyed it.”
Thursday :“On Thursday, we had a wonderful lounge ball in the morning. In the afternoon, residents came outside to enjoy the sunshine. Later, Reverend Heidy and Steive led the church service. Afterwards, we celebrated a resident’s birthday with cake and well-wishes.”

Friday :“In the morning, we had a lovely armchair fitness session. In the afternoon, we celebrated Red Nose Day. Most residents spent time outside enjoying the lovely sunshine and fresh air. A few of them made and decorated red noses using templates.”

A beautiful sunny day brought smiles to everyone, as residents relaxed together in the warmth. Some enjoyed making cheerful red nose templates, while our chefs prepared lovely red-themed cupcakes that everyone happily shared. It was a simple, joyful day filled with sunshine, creativity, and togetherness.

This isn’t just about hair… it’s about confidence, dignity, and creating moments of joy for our ladies and gents.

You’ll be perfect if you:

✔️ Love what you do and take pride in your work
✔️ Are a real people person – chatty, kind and engaging
✔️ Have experience/qualifications in hairdressing
✔️ Have patience and understanding, especially with people living with dementia
✔️ Are reliable and happy to visit regularly
✔️ Have a DBS (or happy for us to arrange one)

We had a very special day celebrating Mother’s Day with our wonderful residents and their families. It was a lovely time for all the mums as families came together to share the celebration.

Our talented chefs prepared delicious cakes, and some of our residents enjoyed making beautiful Mother’s Day cards. We also had a lovely flower arranging activity which everyone enjoyed.

It was a heartwarming day filled with smiles, family time, and special moments. 🌸💐🍰

Recently, a couple of Brandon House residents embarked on an excursion to Kings Garden Centre, where they took a leisurely stroll around the premises and indulged in lunch and hot beverages at their restaurant. Another Brandon House resident visited Exmouth for a morning shopping excursion and enjoyed coffee and lunch at a local restaurant. The outing was thoroughly enjoyed by all participants.
