How long do Realism Brow appointments usually take?

Appointments for Realism Brows—also known as Hyperrealism or Nano Brows—typically last between 3 to 4 hours, depending on your brow shape, skin type and specific needs. After we have confirmed your requirements (following your 15-minute complimentary consultation during an earlier appointment), I will start mapping your brows to define the desired shape before numbing the area.

A follow-up session is typically scheduled 4 to 8 weeks after your initial appointment, to perfect your brows and address any areas where the pigment may not have fully settled. This touch-up session usually lasts around 1.5 to 2 hours.

The technique for Realism Brows is very specific, to create that natural hair stroke design, so it can be a lengthy appointment but I will also check-in with you and pause between brows, to ensure you are comfortable.

With proper aftercare, Realism Brows can last between 1 to 3 years. Factors such as skin type, lifestyle, and sun exposure can affect the longevity of the results. Annual touch-ups are recommended to maintain the desired look.

A lot of clients ask me if it's possible to have a PMU Brow treatment, following a previous treatment completed by another PMU Artist. This client had a old set of brows that she wasn't happy with and was looking for a completely new brow transformation. After a session of tattoo removal with Naomi at I was able to remap a brow shape, before applying a fresh set of Powder Brows.

On the "Before" picture, you can see what was left on the skin after several laser removal sessions. The old PMU was quite deep and we were unsure if it was completed with PMU ink or tattoo ink (there is a difference that I will explain in another post!), and it was certainly very stubborn to remove. However, thanks to Naomi's experience and technique, I was able to go over the skin with a lovely new shape! What do you think of the results?

If you are looking to remove old PMU ink, I cannot recommend the team at The Laser Clinic Exmouth, enough. Each individual removal will be tailored to you so the amount of sessions required will vary per individual. Please speak with Naomi and the team directly to discuss this in more detail.

You've seen my work, so now it's time to introduce myself to you all ✨ For those of you who don't know me, I'm Rosie 👋 I'm a beauty therapist, PMU artist and Fine Line Tattoo artist. I've been in the beauty industry for 19 years and introduced PMU to my treatment list 8 years ago. I then decided to add another "string to my beauty bow" 2.5 years ago, by training in Fine Line Tattoos, something which has become a passion of mine.

I'm dedicated to creating bespoke brows and tattoos that make my clients look and feel amazing, all in the comfort of my relaxed salon. I love combining artistry with a personal touch, to help each individual one of my clients feel confident and cared for.

Outside of work, I'm married to my childhood sweetheart, Ben, and we have two wonderful children together. I love spending time with friends, getting outdoors for walks with my two dogs and sharing my love of theatre with my daughter. I used to perform with a multi-award winning amateur musical theatre group in my hometown, here in Exmouth. When I'm not busy beautifying my clients, I enjoy being in the audience at the theatre, almost as much as I loved being on stage ✨
