Such a lovely day, our ladies and gentlemen got pampered with our hairdresser today. They love seeing Michelle and she makes them feel very special and they look beautiful. 💕 Spreading more love around our home, everyone was given a ray of sunshine in the form of a bunch daffodils 🌼 to enjoy xx 💕

A fun packed day today exercising our body and brain 💕 starting with an interactive Dancercise 🏃‍♂️ 🕺 session , working our arms and legs with lots of giggles and encouragement from each other . Then after lunch it was eyes down for a competitive game of Bingo. It really is lovely how everyone supports each other with finding their numbers 🎱 💕

Wow 😮 what a lovely morning we had with Jade and her baby lamb Frederick 🐑
We all came together in the lounge and enjoyed stroking and cuddling Frederick , he loved his snuggles as much as we did 💕He also did room visits 💕 and managed to woo everyone. 💕
These interactions are great for promoting social interaction, increasing mobility through gentle play and stroking and offer unconditional affection that boosts mental well-being. Many of our residents also came up with ways of hiding Frederick so he could stay with us too😂 Thank you so much Jade for visiting us . We cant wait to see you again 💕

Today we spent the morning getting to know more about each other while doing some light exercise throwing, rolling and passing our conversation ball while not only fun, also offers a multi-faceted approach to enhancing the physical, cognitive, and emotional well-being of our wonderful residents. This activity combines gentle physical exercise with social interaction and an opportunity for reminiscence. Brenda shared lovely memories of her favourite holiday to Spain. Marilyn told us about her pets and Maureen shared memories of her time in Africa. Such a lovely time learning more about each other 💕

✈️ Our Armchair travel for this year has really taken off ✈️
🇮🇹Next we took a trip to Italy as part of our Winter Olympics experience.
We were also very lucky to have our very own tour guide, Margherita. Margherita showed us some wonderful landmarks, her home town and also taught us a few Italian greetings.
A lovely time was had by all 🇮🇹 💕

Our interactive Gamercise session was a hit today . We enjoyed some gentle exercises to get our bodies moving while playing a card game of higher or lower to stimulate our brains. Ready for our Big Quiz competition after lunch 💕

🇮🇹We have been enjoying our Italy themed activities. 🇮🇹
Today we watched a video on Our Echo Platform about how Pizza 🍕 is made in Italy 🇮🇹 And of course we had to make our own for everyone to enjoy for supper. We had lots of traditional Italian toppings to try. It was safe to say the Pizzas 🍕 were enjoyed by everyone and we will be making them again soon 🇮🇹🍕💕

⛄️ Today we have been continuing our winter Olympic challenges, seeing how many snow balls we can get in our snowman jars using tweezers. This activity is ideal for strengthening hand muscles, enhancing precision and boosting dexterity, enabling independent daily tasks like doing up buttons and zips, eating and writing. Marilyn managed to fit 24 snowballs into her jar 🥳
