What a lovely morning we had 💕we were lucky to have a visit from the children from Withycombe Raleigh School Choir. They sang the Christmas songs beautifully, spreading Christmas cheer throughout our home. Thank you 🙏🏼 🏠 🥰 🌲

We were lucky enough to receive a good deed this week from a daughter of one of our residents. She generously made a lovely donation towards our activities. Our activities are person centred and planned to meet their individual interests , enabling their interests to continue while being at Ashfield. After chatting with our residents, it was clear they all shared a bird and nature watching interest. So their wish was granted. We now have a lovely nature area to encourage more wildlife and help our feathered friends through winter. Thank you 🙏🏼xx

Continuing our 100 Good Deeds, our home manager Nelly turned her office into a beauty parlour. Jean was made to feel very special , having her hair put into a lovely french plait and having her nails done💕 This was carried on throughout our home. Our ladies love having their nails looking pretty and we love making them feel special 💕

As part of our 100 Good Deeds for December , a Christmas Duck hunt was set up for the Staff. 50 Tiny ducks were hidden around our home as the staff had a great time hunting for them , lots of fun and laughter and healthy competition was had. Well done to everyone .

We had a wonderful festive sing a long with Claire. Lots of singing, jingling our bells and toe tapping. Everyone looked great in their festive hats, filling our home with festive spirit. As part of our 100 Good Deeds for December we wanted to thank Claire for her support this year , our residents truly look forward and enjoy her visits x Liz helped Claire open her gift 🎁 x Thank You Claire 🙏🏼 x

We have been having fun finding our cheeky Elf on our ‘Our Echo' Activity Platform. We search for him every day , following clues. Today Christine had the task to find him and she hunted high and low till she found him in the Mind and Play portal , learning Spanish 🇪🇸 😂

A huge shout out to Norrms, founder of Music for Dementia Campaign 💕 Norrms incredible generosity has provided some of our residents with their very own MP3 players. Each one has been personalised to their individual music choices. They chose 15 of their favourite songs and Purple Angels brought it to life by uploading them on to MP3 players. Our residents absolutely love them , sharing so many emotions, tears of joy, laughter, smiles and lots of beautiful singing 🎵 Music truly lifts our spirits and creates beautiful emotional connections through familiar songs. Thank you 🙏🏼

Christmas has arrived at Ashfield, our wonderful residents and staff have caught the festive cheer and have been helping and supporting each other in decorating our home.💕We have been enjoying singing Christmas carols and craft making and hearing lovely stories of Christmas past 💕💕

Job Title: Maintenance Person
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Person to join our friendly, caring and professional team working in our care home in Exmouth.
Based in Exmouth the successful applicant(s) will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of buildings and grounds, as well as completing weekly and monthly Health and Safety checks in line with Care Quality Commission and Health and Safety at Work Act. There will be other tasks as and when required that will still fit within the general property maintenance skill set.
The successful applicant should already have some experience of this kind of role or have a building, decorating or trades background, have access to their own vehicle and be able to drive. Tools, PPE etc will be supplied but your own tools could be an advantage.
