Last week we took part in The Great Kindness challenge 💕 We chatted about the importance of being kind to each other and our residents came up with some wonderful wise words and ways to spread some cheer and kindness around. ✨A trip down memory lane with Boots ✨
We had a really lovely afternoon as our ladies explored our “Boots Memory Box”.
A wonderful multisensory kit filled with vintage treasures from the Boots Archives.
Sparking memories and conversations.
We gave our senses a workout handling a vintage 1960’s Boots Christmas Catalogue and old powder compacts. Seeing and recognising familiar syrup of figs and gripe water, scented soaps, oils and lavender bags. It was amazing how a single scent could unlock so many wonderful memories.

💫This interactive session is more than just fun—it helps our residents improve their coordination, reflexes, and focus while enjoying some friendly competition.

G’Day Mate!! Celebrating Australia Day 🇦🇺 We kicked off the fun with our own version of the Skippyroo Kangaroo race! We enjoyed a "Kangaroo Hop" relay, rolling the dice, competing to see who could "bound" the fastest through the outback to the finish line. We also went on a virtual tour of Australia’s famous landmark while learning some fun facts about some Aussie wildlife ( Koalas: Despite their name, they aren't bears—they're marsupials that can sleep for up to 20 hours a day.) 🦘 🐨 🇦🇺

As Storm Ingrid creates mischief outside, we have been creating our own mischief inside with lots of laughter, smiles and singing with our lovely residents today. 💕We had a 70’s & 80’s dress day , along with an Abba Tribute karaoke and our Big Friday Quiz . An amazing way to end the week.

💕Share the Love: Valentine’s Cards for Our Seniors! 💌

💕Community friends, we want to make sure every one of our residents feels extra special this Valentine’s Day! We are looking for "Notes of Kindness" and handmade or store-bought Valentine’s cards to distribute throughout our home💕
A simple card or a short note can brighten a senior’s entire week. Whether it’s a drawing from a little one or a thoughtful message from a neighbour, your kindness makes a huge difference.

Please drop them off by February 12th, so we have time to deliver them!
Help us fill our home with love! 💕Thank you for being such a caring community! 🌹✨

Our lunch yesterday featured the ultimate British comfort duo: a hearty main followed by a refreshing, classic dessert! 🇬🇧🍽️
The Main Event: Shepherd’s Pie
We started with a piping hot Shepherd’s Pie—succulent minced lamb simmered in a rich, savoury gravy with a medley of garden veg and sweet, pop-in-your-mouth peas. It's all tucked under a thick, 'woolly' blanket of creamy mashed potatoes, fork-ruffled and baked until it reaches that perfect golden-brown crisp.
The Grand Finale: Strawberries & Cream Sundae
For pudding, it’s a total berry-filled dream! 🍓✨ We’ve got juicy, sun-ripened strawberries served with velvety vanilla ice cream and a cloud of cream. To top it off, a generous drizzle of sweet strawberry sauce ties the whole indulgence together for the perfect fruity finish.
