2016 Flashback…. A decade has passed, but luckily Rob doesn’t look a year older 😉 2016 started like any other year for me. I was still a rugby mum , dog mum and a nurse but was about to take on the biggest change in my life without even knowing it… Back at at the end of 2015 I had been persuaded by one of my friends that it would be a good idea to do a “Botox” course. I decided to give it a go but was silently petrified !! I had many willing volunteers to practice on! In that time I raised ( ask me to tell you the scary eyebrow story next time you are in clinic 😉 ) and dropped some eyebrows 😩 . .. thought about giving up several times but didnt thanks to the lovely support of my friends / family . But what I did do was get more training providing the best full day courses, no 8 certificates in one day course here 😂. I even bit the bullet and did the dermal filler course, which obvious I hated doing at the start - aesthetics is not for the faint hearted !! Many tears and sleepless nights followed .. But proud to say the lip pic was one of my first set of lips and this lady still comes to me now , so I must be doing something right 🙌🏻 Family life was stressful - my eldest son George had joined the royal marine training, After being a military wife , I wasn’t sure how I’d cope being a military mum…. My youngest son Olly was leaving school and still thought he was going to make a career out of rugby.. If only I had a crystal ball to look forward 10 years from then to see I really didn’t need to worry about these things !! George unfortunately got injured and medically discharged and Olly is indeed making a career out of rugby ! My friends kept me sane, we went to a very wet and muddy Glastonbury- but had a ball ! Ive always loved a party .. Then came the big one !! The clinic was built, and I truly couldn’t be happier in 2026 - bring on the 10 years anniversary party 🥳

I cannot stress enough how important it is to have a proper consultation before any treatment. This lovely patient has been coming to see me for a few years now, and one thing I will always stand by is this: I will only recommend a treatment if it is genuinely needed.

It would have been easy to just add more lip filler as she asked, but this wouldn’t have upgraded her lips at this stage.

I will never provide a treatment just because someone thinks they need it.

She had originally booked in for lip filler, but during her assessment I could see she still had filler from last year that was giving her beautiful volume. In cases like this, a lip flip can be a much better option. It relaxes the muscle to allow more of the red lip to show naturally, without adding unnecessary filler - which could cause migration.

Perfect for someone who just needs a little enhancement without increasing the fullness of the lip.
