After 16 busy years of leading The Clinic it is time for me to move onto the next stage of my career.

While I will be continuining to practice and lead The ST School I have stepped down from The Clinic to focus on my PhD research and academia in general. We are at an exciting time for Pain research and I m fortunate enough to be able to take the opportunities in front of me.

The Clinic will continue under the ownership of Jasmine Martineau and I will be there still in my room to see clients ! I just will not be the boss any longer …..finally!!

It’s a big step for me as The Clinic is my baby.
We have all worked incredibly hard to strive for better, to follow evidence and to provide care that goes beyond the treatment room. As a team we are driven by the shared uncompromising ethos of raising the standards and profile of Massage Therapy in MSK care and beyond.

I know it s cliche’ but I feel so increadibly privileged for the opportunity to have shared the journey with some truly amazing and compassionate peers.

Particular thank you to Emma Heath - Massage & Movement for sharing the vision, Rebecca Warburton from whom I learn every time I listen to her and to Tammy Emmins who not been working with us for many years but always part of it deep down!! Jude for keeping us all in line. Marc Martineau for giving the opportunity 24 years ago.!

But above all to all the clients who have entrusted us kept us committed to the care.
It has been great. Now I can go and relax without worrying if we have enough towels for the morning. 😂😂😂

💙 I know firsthand how hard caring can be. I used to be a carer myself, working 12-hour shifts. With my hand on my heart, I can say it was one of the most demanding and challenging jobs I have ever done. The long hours, the emotional weight, and the physical strain take a real toll on both mind and body.

That’s why I’ve created this workshop just for you — a safe space to pause, release, and remember that your wellbeing matters too.

✨ Gentle yoga for tired bodies: Supportive postures to release tension, ease stiffness, and melt away stress.

Rebecca our Pregnancy specialist is soon off on maternity leave 👩‍🍼💖I might add that if she doesn’t go soon we’ll have to brief her clients on how to deliver a baby!!

But fear not! 🙌🏼 As Siobhan and Magda have been updating their knowledge and skills to look after all of Becca’s pregnant mums and any new ones!

When Anna Maria is not practising she is busy teaching somewhere.
This week she was in Worcester delivering in house training to a physio clinic.

Massage is more than just a ‘rub’. It is a clinically valuable approach to health and wellbeing for pain and injuries if provided with a strong underpinning evidence based knowledge.
