š§ ⨠Ever wonder why some movements feel āoffā even though nothing is technically wrong?
Think of your brain like a map of movement.
The things you do every day? Those pathways are clear and well lit.
But the movements you never do: that rotation, that balance drill, that weird little stability exercise, those pathways are faint⦠or not drawn yet.
So when we introduce an unusual or unfamiliar exercise, weāre not just āworking muscles.ā
Weāre giving your brain new information.
Weāre saying:
āHey brain, you can do this, hereās the pathway.ā
And every repetition strengthens that map.
When the brain feels safe, the body follows:
⨠Pain eases
⨠Movement feels smoother
⨠Strength becomes accessible again
⨠Compensations switch off
Thatās brain mapping.
Teaching your nervous system that more movement is possible, and safe, by giving it options it didnāt know it had.

34 years ago today I jumped on a train at Paddington, bound for Plymouth and joined the Royal Navy š¬š§
Since that day every decision Ive ever made led me to create and what a journey itās beenā¦and continues to be!
My varied RN career trained me as a Chef, PT Instructor, Outdoor Leadership Instructor and Exercise Rehabilitation Specialist as well as Helmsman on a Warship - a bad judgement call on the Navyās part because I was driving when we crashed into a German warship and took out their helicopterā¦. Another story for laterā¦. š
I also spent a night in a Russian prison cell⦠definitely another story for later! My Mumās reading this⦠š¤£
In 2012 I had the absolute privilege of heading up the Rehab Unit at Hasler Coy in Plymouth.
I got to work with some of the most incredible humans Iāve met - sadly some very poorly people, following the Afghan conflict.
Without a doubt these guys set me on my course to open Three Sixty Rehab and Iām blessed to say, many are now my closest buddies š
Funny how time passes and life offers opportunities - some to be taken, and some missed. I think I grabbed all the best ones š
My best opportunities came following the words ā¦āwhat if..?ā
I donāt regret a minute and Iām very proud to have served my Country and the best bit is, with Three Sixty I will continue doing all I can for our awesome Veterans šš¬š§

But we must take time to remember them.
1100 oāclock today - give your 2 minutes to respect those who gave their lives for us šš»

Mystery in the historyā¦
The body isnāt just a bunch of bones and muscles thrown together - itās an insanely intelligent system thatās always adapting, compensating, communicating.
So when pain shows up? Itās not the problem. Itās a clue.
Chasing pain is like chasing smoke. At Three Sixty, we look for the fire - the root cause - the piece of the puzzle thatās actually been driving your symptoms, whether it started last week or ten years ago.
Because when you fix the āwhy,ā the pain doesnāt just ease⦠it stops coming back.
Thatās the goal. Thatās the work

If youāre living with chronic pain or reduced function, youāre not alone-and your frustrations are valid. Many people feel trapped by pain that never seems to go away, despite trying countless treatments. Itās common to feel dismissed or misunderstood by healthcare professionals, especially when pain is invisible or hard to diagnose. This can leave you feeling isolated, demoralised, and even doubting whether real change is possible.
A lot of people end up ājust living with it,ā adjusting their lives around pain and accepting limitations in work, hobbies, and relationships. The unpredictability of pain, the lack of clear answers, and the feeling that no one truly understands can be overwhelming. Frustration builds when traditional rehabilitation or medical approaches only offer short-term relief or focus narrowly on symptoms, rather than the bigger picture. Some even give up on seeking help, believing nothing will ever work.
But there is hope.
Advances in neuroscience have shown that the brain is plastic-it can change and adapt throughout life.
By integrating neuroscience-based techniques, like Proprioceptive Deep Tendon ReflexĀ® (P-DTR) and the Gray Instituteās Applied Functional ScienceĀ®, with manual therapy, Iāve seen incredible results that far exceed what traditional rehab can achieve alone.
This approach addresses both the āsoftwareā (your nervous system) and the āhardwareā (your body), allowing the brain and body to work together to resolve deep-seated conflicts and patterns that keep pain locked in place.
You donāt have to settle for a life defined by pain and frustration. When therapy targets the true root causes-how your brain and body communicate-long-term relief and improved function are possible.
I see it every day in my practice: people who thought change was impossible are moving better, living fuller lives, and finally experiencing the hope and freedom they deserve.
Still limping into the weekend? Maybe itās time to fix it.
Pain that keeps coming back isnāt bad luck, itās lack of resources. At three sixty rehab, we go deeper than the usual stretch-and-hope approach. We fix the root, not just the ragey hamstring or the ādodgyā back.
Book in, level up and get in touch today.

Hi, Iām Mark Jones, a former Royal Navy Physical Trainer with a specialist role in Exercise Rehabilitation. I have a broad and diverse background in helping get people back to optimal fitness levels following an injury or chronic long term conditions.
I served 25 years in the Royal Navy with 17 of those as a Physical Trainer. In 2007 I joined the world renowned Joint Service School of Exercise Rehabilitators at the Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre - Headley Court where I began my journey into the very effective world of exercise based therapy.
I have helped many people recover from a wide range of injuries and conditions from complex battle trauma, chronic low back and knee pain to post surgical procedures such as hip replacement and ACL reconstructions.
The most challenging and also the most rewarding role for me was the lead instructor atthe complex trauma unit (Hasler Company) set up mainly for the elite Royal Marines Commandos and Special Forces who had sustained life changing injuries and conditions from operations in Afghanistan.
This was a highly unique environment which proved to be an excellent training ground both professionally and emotionally from which to bring 'Three Sixty Rehab' to the wider population.
I still find myself with a tenacious drive to find the answers to people's pain, I remain on a journey of discovery. After graduating from St Mary's University with a First Class Honours in Sports Rehabilitation I went on to be mentored in Applied Functional Science under the highly regarded 'Gray institute' with the 'God Fathers of Functional Movement' - Gary Gray and David Tiberio.
In order to keep Three Sixty Rehab at the sharp end of injury recovery and performance training I have a huge commitment to the pursuit of greater knowledge, especially in the field of advanced movement neurology and soft tissue treatments.
I always get a real buzz from seeing people become pain free and then go on to do more physically than they ever though they could or would! I'd like to share the same journey with you!
