He did some amazing listening and transitions. Today we went on the bus to Sidmouth and J did amazing!! Hopefully next time we can get the double decker bus🩷🤞

I’ve been away in New York for the past week so I haven’t been on my work phone. Any messages, I will get back to when I’m back home. 🏠
We were due to fly home today✈️but due to a huge snow storm, we are stuck for an extra night- could be worse😆❄️

✨️Processing time✨️
Why is this so important?
Individuals with autism find it harder to process information and need longer to think about new information and/or instructions.
We saw this today with J.
J needed extra processing time when we were leaving Iplay this afternoon. J wanted the sensory room which was not avaliable. Luckily the staff allowed us to exit that way but J was not ready to leave and knew Ibounce was just behind us. We took time sitting on the floor with J while he showed some big emotions! After around 15-20 minutes, J stood up and was ready for the car. 🚗
He needed this time to process the fact we were leaving and that he couldn't go on the trampolines. Without allowing this time for processing, we could have been stuck for alot longer and the situation could have escalated further.
Sometimes just sitting and waiting is the best thing to do and luckily for us, the people at Iplay were very patient with us.🩷

Soft play🧸and muddy puddles🥾
A great enabling session today with J. He did some amazing listening and handled transitions very well!
A bath🛀 was well needed after all that puddle playing on Woodbury Common🌳😆

What a lovely day me and H had today with the Saturday Crew😎
Today we went to Taunton and enjoyed looking around the museum🖼and doing the elf trail🎄🎅no Christmas markets there today😞
H did amazing listening today and she absolutely loved helping little Ivy walk and holding her hand to keep her safe. This group is super great for H and will most definitely help boost her confidence when we are out and about in the community! They were all so great with eachother😊🥰

Another great session with H today😊
We went to the cinema to watch the new Gabby film, H was able to sit through 3/4 of the film before calling it a day! We then went to get hot 🍫 with friends. H was amazing with my friends daughter who is nearly 2! (I think she's made a new bestie)🥰We then finished with a Mcdonalds🍔🍟

I created this business while I was leaving work, in a SEN school, as a teaching assistant. I now currently work in a children’s home for children and young people, who are deaf, with additional needs. My self employed business is run along side this📆
