How Hypnosis works
Hypnosis works by guiding the brain into a deeply relaxed and focused state where the conscious mind becomes less active.
This allows direct access to the subconscious mind, where everything is stored, and suggestions can bypass critical thinking and create new neural pathways for behavioural or emotional changes.
This happens because when you're deeply relaxed, your brain naturally becomes more open, which means it is more open to new ideas and less likely to resist them, similar to how you might accept dream logic while sleeping.
The hypnotist uses specific techniques like rhythmic speech, visualisation, and progressive muscle relaxation to help you reach this receptive mental state where positive changes can take root more easily.
