Winter weather can wreck havoc with your skin ❄️ Cold air, indoor heating, and low humidity strip moisture fast, leaving skin feeling tight, dull, flaky, or extra sensitive.

Many people confuse dehydrated skin with dry skin, but they are not the same. While dry skin is a skin type lacking oil, dehydrated skin is a condition caused by a lack of water in the skin, and it can affect any skin type.

Recognising the signs early can help you take the right steps to restore hydration and skin balance. Here’s what to look out for:

🌸 Tightness or discomfort, especially after cleansing
🌸 Dull or tired-looking complexion with a lack of radiance and glow
🌸 Fine lines and creping, often more noticeable around the eyes and forehead
🌸 Flakiness or rough texture, even when the skin feels oily underneath
🌸 Sensitivity and irritation. Your skin may feel reactive or inflamed
🌸 Excess oil production or breakouts. This is a common response as your skin tries to overcompensate.

How to fix:
If you think your skin is dehydrated, try introducing a hydrating serum containing hyaluronic acid before your moisturiser to add an extra layer of hydration.
