'People ask me if I like my job. My answer is no—I don’t like it because I am loving and enjoying it.
Every time I set foot on the service user’s doorstep, I take off my shoes and wear theirs. By doing so, I can understand the situation they are in, and I can give the utmost care they need to receive. As a carer, I support the whole person, not just their condition, and domiciliary care is not a task, but it’s about the people.
I would like to say thank you to my colleagues; they are all wonderful and great people.
A big thank you to the people in the office and the management for always supporting me and being so understanding of my situation, as I am a single parent.
