✨ Mum & Baby Yoga Spaces ✨

I’m hosting a shorter-than-usual mum & baby yoga block in between some holiday weeks. Running for 3 weeks from 29th May–12th June.

A small number of spaces have opened up and we’d love to welcome you and your little one along 🤍

These classes are a relaxed, baby-led space for you to move, bond and feel supported in early motherhood.

Classes include gentle postnatal movement, opportunities to involve your baby, and time to stay afterwards for a cuppa and connection within our lovely mum community, if you’d like.

📍 Zen2Yoga, Polmont, Falkirk
🗓 Fridays | 11am–12pm

✨ Pregnancy Yoga Spaces Available Soon✨

I’m so grateful that my pregnancy yoga classes have been fully booked since returning in January.

I’ve now been able to offer spaces to everyone on the waitlist, which means a few spaces should become available again from mid June.

If you’ve been thinking about joining us for some gentle movement, breathing, relaxation and time to connect during pregnancy, I’d love to welcome you.

Phew… what a lovely and busy April it’s been! 🌸✨

Thank you so much for your patience while I took a little family time over the Easter holidays in between classes, it was very special 💛

Behind the scenes this week, it’s been all about the less glamorous but very important admin catch up… emails, planning, schedules, and making sure everything is ready for you all 🙌

In honour of Mother’s Day yesterday, it feels right to share a story my mum told me…

A story that happened nearly 33 years ago.

And yet, I still hear versions of it all the time.

It’s part of my birth story.

When my mum was in labour and things were intensifying, she said she felt ready to push. But she was:

Not believed
Dismissed
Told she couldn’t be
My dad was even sent away.

She remembers thinking…
“I can’t do this if this isn’t it.”

Then everything changed.
A new midwife came on shift, Gillian, who had also been there for my older sister’s birth.

She took one look at my mum and gently said:
“You’re ready to give birth now, aren’t you?”

My mum nodded in relief…

and moments later, I was born.

And that’s how I got my name 🤍

Named after a midwife who:

Listened
Respected
Believed

Because it matters how we are treated.

Because birth stays with us.

And because every woman deserves to feel heard, safe, and supported.

This is exactly why I do the work I do.

I want you to:

✨ Trust your body
✨ Follow your instincts
✨ Know your rights
✨ Feel confident to make the choices that are right for YOU

You already have what you need inside you.

And you deserve people around you who believe that too.

You are allowed to question.
You are allowed to say no.
You are allowed to be heard.

What is a ‘due date’? A date your baby will probably not arrive on… and that’s ok, here’s why:

Only around 5% of babies are born on their estimated due date, because it’s exactly that, an estimate.

Most babies arrive somewhere between 37–42 weeks gestation, a wide window.

Pregnancy dating isn’t an exact science, and normal pregnancy length varies from woman to woman. Some babies simply take a little longer than others.

We are all individual and our bodies aren’t machines, it’s normal that there would be variations in pregnancy lengths.

Some parents find it helpful to think of a ‘due month’ rather than a fixed date, or to plan something lovely on their ‘due date’… After all, there is a 95% chance that you will get to keep your plans.

Did you know only around 5% of babies arrive on their ‘due date’?

If you’re pregnant and starting to think about birth, you are not alone. Preparing for birth doesn’t have to feel overwhelming 🤍.

My group hypnobirthing & birth preparation course is designed to support you and your birth partner to feel calm, informed and confident as you approach birth and early parenthood.

This is a small, supportive group course that brings together evidence-based antenatal education with practical hypnobirthing tools, including breathing techniques, relaxation, comfort measures and clear information around birth choices.
