Resting safely in the care of our family 🖤🤍

KAVANAGH, Agnes
Bainsford

With heavy hearts, on behalf of her loving family, we announce the passing of Agnes Kavanagh (Aggie).

Aggie passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family’s love, at her home on Wednesday, 12th November 2025, aged 75. Devoted mum to Diane, Keith, and John, a loving mother-in-law to Leanne and Rachel, and a doting granny to James and Jenna, as well as a gran to Stacey, Alastair, and Caitlin, and a loving great-grandma to Amilia.

Aggie’s life was filled with strength, spirit, and love. Originally from Devon Street in Grangemouth, she later moved to England, where she built new memories and raised her family with her trademark determination and warmth. In time, she returned home to Falkirk, the place that always held a huge piece of her heart.

Fiercely strong and independent, she was a woman with a purpose. She lived with a real love for life, embracing laughter, moments that mattered, and the joy of being surrounded by those she loved.

Family was everything to her. She was “Gran” to her Scottish grandkids and “Granny” to her English ones, a distinction she cherished. No matter the distance or the years, her love connected them all.

She was a huge character who could light up a room just by walking into it. Her laughter was infectious, her presence unforgettable, and her heart endlessly generous.

Her legacy is one of love, resilience, humour, and deep family values. She will be missed more than words can ever express, but her spirit lives on in every memory shared and every life she touched.

A service of celebration for the life of Aggie will be held at Falkirk Crematorium on Thursday, 27th November, at 2:30 pm.

Family and friends are welcome to attend.

Further service and donation details can be found on Aggie’s dedicated memorial page below:

We are truly honoured to be entrusted with Aggie’s care and service arrangements. As always, our thoughts and love remain with all of Aggie’s family and friends during this incredibly difficult time.

Rest in eternal peace, Aggie 🖤🤍

WHYTE, Jane
Hallglen

With heavy hearts, on behalf of her loving family, we announce the passing of Jane Whyte.

Jane passed away peacefully at Strathcarron Hospice on Wednesday, 12th November 2025, aged 61 years. A devoted wife to Charlie and a doting mum to Connie and Calum, also a cherished mother-in-law to Robert, a loving gran to Robert, Ryan, Leigha, and a wonderful friend to many.

Love shaped every corner of Jane’s family’s life. She was a devoted mother and an adoring wife, and to her grandchildren, she was the most doting, gentle, and supportive gran anyone could ever wish for. Family wasn’t just important to her; it was the very centre of who she was.

She was completely selfless and caring and held a remarkable gift for putting everyone else first, not out of obligation, but out of pure love. She made sure no one ever went without. She was the glue that held everyone together, the person who could make everything feel steady even in the hardest of times.

Her happiest moments were those spent with her grandchildren, spoiling them, laughing with them, and creating memories that will last their whole lives. She poured her heart into those moments, and they will be treasured forever.

She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and kindness, and although the hearts of all those who love her are heavy, they will carry her with them in the way they love each other, the way they look after one another, and the way they hold their family close, just as she taught them.

A service of celebration for the life of Jane will be held in St James Church, Thornhill Road, on Thursday, 27th November, at 10:30 am, followed by an interment in New Grandsable Cemetery.

Family and friends are welcome to attend.

MCSORLEY, Ashlea
Glen Village

With heavy hearts, on behalf of her loving family, we announce the passing of Ashlea McSorley.

Ashlea passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at her home address on Sunday, 2nd November 2025, aged 35 years. Devoted daughter of Claire and Mark, a loving sister to Jordan, Jade, and Dean, and a cherished friend to many.

Ashlea had a way of connecting with people. She made others feel seen, valued, and understood in a way that came so naturally to her. Whether you had known her for years or had only just met her, she left an impression that stayed with you forever.

One of the greatest loves of her life was her dog, Harley. Harley wasn’t just a pet; he was family and her loyal companion through everything. Through him, Ashlea found another community she loved, the Spaniel group, which she was an active and much-loved member of. It was a place where she found friendship, belonging, and endless joy. She made many friends there, and those friendships were genuine, meaningful, and deeply appreciated.

Her life, though far too brief, touched more people than she ever knew and with her sudden passing, she leaves behind an enormous space in the hearts of everyone who loved her. She will be deeply missed by family, friends, and everyone she connected with throughout her life. Her kindness and warmth leave a lasting imprint that will never be forgotten.

A service of celebration for the life of Ashlea will be held at Falkirk Crematorium on Wednesday, 26th November, at 10:45 am.

This is a gentle reminder that our bereavement "get together" takes place tomorrow, Wednesday, 12th November at 5:30 pm for 6 pm in the Park Hotel, Camelon Road, Falkirk.
As always, all are very welcome, regardless of whether or not we have cared for your family.
011
This is not a structured support group. Just a group of people who have all experienced loss and the difficulties which come along with it, coming together to eat, listen and support one another. You do not need to book a space, it's simply a drop-in if you are free and feel it would be beneficial. Feel free to bring a friend or family member if this would help make things more comfortable until you know everyone. All are very welcome.
For more information contact Sam or Andrew on 01324 636446.
Looking forward to seeing you all 🖤🤍

SPIERS, John
Edinburgh

With heavy hearts, on behalf of his loving family, we announce the passing of John Spiers.

John passed away peacefully at the Western General Hospital in Edinburgh on Monday, 3rd November 2025, aged 70 years. Beloved husband of the late Maggie, a loving father to Nikki, Tammy, Amanda, and John, cherished grandad to Bradley, Brandon, Conner, Cain, Emma, Rebecca, Liam, Ryan, Jaxon, Lennon, and Charlie, and a dearly loved great-grandad, brother, uncle, and loyal friend to many.

John’s family was the centre of his world. There was nothing he loved more than spending time with them, whether at a family gathering or a catch-up over a cuppa. He loved being surrounded by those who meant the most to him.
