Resting safely in the care of our family 🖤🤍

ARUNDEL, Mary
Letham

With heavy hearts, on behalf of her loving family, we announce the passing of Mary Arundel.

Mary passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family’s love, on Sunday, 22nd February 2026, aged 93 years.

Beloved wife of the late Sammy, much-loved mum, gran, great-gran, mother-in-law, sister, aunty, and a wonderful friend to many.

Mary leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and devotion to family. A loving and supportive mum, and a gran who was always there, steady, dependable, and full of care.

Straight to the point, yet everything said was with the very best intentions. That honesty was part of Mary’s strength, and that strength became the foundation of the family.

Mary fought right to the end, facing life with determination and dignity. Deeply missed by everyone who had the privilege of sharing in that life, Mary’s love and influence will remain with loved ones always, and they will forever be grateful that Mary was theirs.

A service of celebration for the life of Mary will be held in Falkirk Crematorium on Tuesday, 3rd March, at 1 pm.

Family and friends are welcome to attend.

Further service and donation details can be found on Mary’s dedicated memorial page below:

Resting safely in the care of our family 🖤🤍

LAMB, David
Hallglen

With heavy hearts, on behalf of his loving family, we announce the passing of David Lamb (Davy).

Davy passed away suddenly but peacefully at Forth Valley Royal Hospital on Thursday, 19th February 2026, aged 76 years. Beloved husband of Rosemary, much-loved dad of Andrea and Steven, and father-in-law to Colin. A doting papa to Alana, Lauryn and Lewis, a proud great-papa to Jhy, and a great friend to many.

To his family, Davy was everything, a loyal and loving husband, a dependable and guiding dad, and a papa whose greatest joy was time spent with his grandchildren.

He was someone you could rely on without hesitation. Supportive, thoughtful, and kind, he made a difference in quiet, meaningful ways.

His passing was sudden and unexpected, and he will be missed more than words can ever say. But the legacy he leaves, of strength, kindness, and immense love will live on in his family and in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.

It was Davy’s wish that his service be held in private.

It is a great honour for us to be entrusted with Davy’s care and service arrangements. As always, our thoughts and love remain with all of Davy’s family members as well as all of his many friends, during this extremely difficult time.

Rest in eternal peace Davy 🖤🤍

“A devoted husband, a treasured dad, a doting papa and great-papa, deeply loved and dearly missed.”

The introduction of new legislation for funeral homes is both necessary and welcome. Every person entrusted into our care deserves to be treated with dignity, respect, and the very highest standards without exception.

Most people don’t realise that in the UK, anyone can call themselves a funeral director. You can’t be a doctor, nurse, or teacher without a qualification, but anybody can be entrusted with the care of a family's loved one who has passed away.

Consistent inspections and clear regulations across all funeral providers will help ensure that these standards are upheld throughout the profession. Proper oversight offers reassurance to families at one of the most vulnerable times in their lives and helps maintain the integrity of funeral service as a whole.

Providing safe, professional, and dignified care requires appropriate facilities, equipment, and robust procedures. These are not optional extras; they are fundamental responsibilities. The focus must always remain on the individuals and families we are privileged to serve. 🖤🤍

Richard Elkin and Hayley Bell were found to have kept bodies in unrefrigerated conditions.

The sheer number of people who came along spoke volumes about the kind of colleague and friend he was and it truly reflected the impact he had on those around him and brought great comfort to the people who loved him most.

As many shared in the service, Stevie’s passion for long-distance lorry driving was such a big part of who he was.
