Thomas Cuthell & Sons has grown over the years and we now have funeral homes in Bo'ness, Denny, Grangemouth and Falkirk. All our premises are open Monday to Friday 9:00am till 5:00pm, with our Falkirk funeral home being open on a Saturday until 12:30pm. Thomas Cuthell founded our business in 1905 and today we are still very much a family business. There are five members of the Cuthell family invol

ved in the running and operating of the business, having two generations still involved enables us to retain the traditions and values of the generations before us whilst pushing the business forward and staying up to date with legislation and embracing new ideas. Examples of this would be the traditions of using tail coats and top hats, and the availability of our vintage hearse contrasted by the recent rebranding of Thomas Cuthell and Sons and the creation of our company logo. Each funeral home has an office which can assist with your enquiry and if necessary a funeral director is never far away.

40 years ago the community of Denny and the surrounding areas first allowed us to care for them. Yesterday we were delighted that the Cuthell Trophy continues to be a part of the calendar year at Denny Bowling Club. Our congratulations to the winners, Hoss Phillips & Jonathan Kemp and to the very close runners up John McCAfferty and Kenny Mabon. Equally, well done to John & Frank Grant and Mark McGuire & Jim O’Raw.

Thank you to the townspeople of Bo’ness and the Bo’ness Children’s Fair Festival Committee who have all worked so hard to make Bo’ness Fair day such a wonderful day yesterday. It was also a very special Fair day for our family this year, as Emily Cuthell was a Flower Girl.

Today we celebrate all the wonderful gentlemen we call Dad and remember those Dad’s that are no longer with us. 💙 Happy Father’s Day to you all........

What do you do on Father’s Day, when he is no longer here?
You think of all the memories, and shed a little tear.

You take a walk in sunshine, feel his warmth in the rays.
You remember all your adventures, all those happy holidays.

You listen for him in the wind, you hear the birds in song.
It lifts you up as he always did, and carries you along.

You close your eyes and stand there, you feel him in your heart.
You realise not even death, can break your bond apart.

We are proud to continue to support Bo'ness Fair

We are honoured to have Thomas Cuthell & Sons involved with the Bo’ness Fair since their earliest days, whether it was putting up the flags (which often came from the Ship breaking!) around the town, Jim Cuthell being the musical director, or the business providing limousines for the day itself. This year they celebrate their 120th anniversary and to mark this milestone, Chairman Frank McGarry accepted a donation of £2500 from Paul Cuthell on behalf of the business.

A huge thank you to Sharon and all the committee that have worked so hard to make Denny & Dunipace Community Gala Day such a success, and congratulations to all The Inspirational Youth Award Winners.

As part of our 120th anniversary, and having cared for the bereaved in Denny and the surrounding towns for almost 50 years, we were delighted to give something back to the community as Paul Cuthell and his daughter Emily presented a cheque for £2500 towards the organisation of the day itself.

Today, on VE Day the Union flag flies over our Falkirk Funeral Home as we remember the ultimate price paid by so many to secure the freedom that we have today. We give thanks that the many who died, did not do so without people recognising their sacrifice.
