It has been widely speculated that this over the age of 70 need a medical to continue to drive their cars.
I’ve been getting a lot of requests for medicals for those hitting the ripe old age of 70.
Hope this clarifies things.
If you wish to retain the C1 or D1 on your licence you WILL need a medical.
If you have no intention of driving a group 2 vehicle then you WILL NOT require an eye test or examination to drive a Group 1 vehicle,

There is speculation that the government may soon update the process for over-70s renewing their driving licences, although no changes have been announced yet.

Dr Dundas will be on holiday from Saturday for one week. He’ll be back to work on Monday 14/7. There is very limited availability in Glasgow on Friday for urgent medicals. Otherwise there will be extra appointments at all sites from Monday 14/7.
