Happy Hogmanay to all 🫶
As we creep into Chapter 1 of 2026, we will see lots of "highlight" reels springing up on social media. They are wonderful to see, however, I caught myself this morning thinking, jeez, it feels like I haven't done much this year, and with that realised that there will probably be many others thinking the same.
Please know, if you are reading this, you did enough! We arrived at the last day of the year still standing, maybe feeling a bit battered and bruised with what 2025 dealt you, but here we are. Still. Standing. What an achievement in a society that implies burnout is a success, always being busy is a success, being perfect at everything is a success. Well, here I am, perfectly imperfect, I didn't break any records in business, or life, this year, the business closed for months whilst I moved house, what I did do, was still manage to help people with their pain and whether that was 1 person or 100 it doesn't matter, it was success. In life? Well, I continued to navigate that one day at a time. Grief is a hard sea to surf, it comes in waves but I'm learning to surf and I'm okay with that. I am right where I need to be.
Comparison is the thief of joy, so smile when we see the highlight reels and wish the people well as I'm pretty sure, their lessons over the last year were just as tough as yours and mine. We all step into 2026 with the lessons and love from 2025 still echoing in our ears, but overall, here we are, still standing 💕
Slàinte Mhath in 2026 to us all 🥂
