What mentorship and clinical oversight means for our nurses in aesthetics

Mentorship and clinical oversight is about ensuring every nurse develops safely, confidently, and to the highest clinical standard — with the right support behind them at every stage.

Yesterday we had our lovely new nurse Millie in clinic and for all our nurses, this means:

• Direct support and supervision from an experienced Nurse Prescriber

• Guided consultations, learning how to assess patients holistically — not just the treatment area

• Clinical decision-making support, ensuring treatments are appropriate, ethical, and safe

• Competency sign-off, confirming skills are performed correctly and to medical standards

• Governance and accountability, working within a regulated, insured clinical environment

• Ongoing professional development, refining technique, judgement, and patient care

Aesthetica Medical Cosmetics is an independent nurse led aesthetics and wellbeing clinic offering a wide range of medical and non-medical treatments.

My name is Cherise and I am the owner and advanced aesthetics nurse/Independent Nurse Prescriber in my aesthetics business. I am member of the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and is also a member of both the British Association of Cosmetic Nurses (BACN) and Aesthetic Complication Expert group ( ACE).

With 17 years of experience in Advanced nursing practice, I have built my little aesthetics business from my career in nursing and have the knowledge & skill mindset in consultations, prescribing and diagnostics. I have been trained in Aesthetic practice for just over 2 years now and I am continually striving for high standards in my care and customer service so much so that I ensure that I research and keep my training up to date frequently. On a daily basis I am effectively improving safety and delivering excellent clinical care to ensure my patients journey is an enjoyable one! As I'm a bit of a perfectionist my care to you starts from the minute you attend your first appointment and will continue to offer advice and support post procedures as long as you require. My approach to care is about each individuals needs whether that be physical or emotional.
