year anniversary, recognised in this way by Michael Matheson MSP!

Delighted to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the Freedom Of Mind Community Choir with this motion to Parliament.

A great initiative that's still going strong, and promoting support and wellbeing through the power of song and music.

Congratulations for the first ten years, here's to the next ten and many more beyond.

We're so pleased that Michael Matheson MSP submitted a motion celebrating our 10th anniversary in The Scottish Parliament, supported by many others! Thank you for your good wishes and your continued support - we're delighted to celebrate 10 years of improving physical and mental wellbeing through group singing and music, reducing social isolation along the way. Here's to a positive, song-filled future... :)

A huge thank you to everyone who generously supported us on Friday night at our Christmas Concert! We raised a total of £1014.89 to help us keep our choir "pay what you can afford" with accessible transport for those who need it.

Our inspiring choir is now 10 years old! Please help us begin a year of celebrations by joining us for our next sing-a-long at Camelon Parish Church Hall this Wed, 17th Dec, from 2.30 - 4.30 pm. Loneliness is a public health crisis - and we’re taking action 💔

The Scottish Forum on Isolation and Loneliness has launched a manifesto calling on the next Scottish Government to make tackling loneliness a national priority.

This year the Forum, co-facilitated by Befriending Networks and Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland (CHSS), has engaged with more than 120 organisations across the country as it lays out its vision to cut chronic loneliness by half over the next decade. 🤝
Why?

1 in 5 adults in Scotland experience loneliness
Disabled people are twice as likely to feel lonely, and 41% of single pensioners felt lonely last week
Loneliness harms health, wellbeing, and communities

We’re urging bold leadership, long-term investment, and collaboration at every level from the next Scottish Government to build a more socially connected Scotland.
