FDAMH are offering a free course to those living in the Falkirk area to help increase understanding of neurodivergent conditions such as autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia, and Tourette’s, while exploring how mental health can be affected by social, emotional, and environmental factors.

By joining the course, participants will develop greater awareness, practical communication skills, and strategies to create more inclusive, supportive environments at home, in education, in the workplace and within communities. 🫂

Delivered over four weekly sessions of two hours each, the programme provides a safe and welcoming space for learning, reflection and discussion. Each session combines information, practical tools and group conversations to help participants better understand neurodiversity through a strengths-based and person-centred approach.

Topics that are explored include:

✅ Understanding neurodivergence and mental health
✅ Communication and sensory awareness
✅ Emotional wellbeing and resilience
✅ Building inclusive support networks

A key part of the course is recognising the power of peer support. Shared lived experience can reduce isolation, increase confidence, and create meaningful connections between participants. Through supportive group discussion and peer learning, individuals are encouraged to share experiences, strategies and encouragement in a respectful and inclusive environment. 💚

The course promotes the value of community, understanding, and mutual support in improving wellbeing and reducing stigma surrounding both neurodiversity and mental health.

Pause and take a minute to ask yourself "how am I feeling today?"

Be honest with yourself, and if you are feeling that things are a bit heavy or tough at the moment, reach out to someone you trust.

Your feelings are valid and you don't have to navigate them alone. 💚

✨SUPPORTER SPOTLIGHT✨

FDAMH are honoured to have received a generous donation of £15,000 from McDonald's restaurants across the Forth Valley.

Elliot Jardine, owner of the franchises, nominated FDAMH to receive the funds via McDonald's in the Community Foundation.

Ian Dickson, CEO of FDAMH, and Anna Drummond, Marketing Manager at FDAMH, visited the McDonald's Falkirk Retail Park restaurant to meet with Elliot and a few other staff members to say thank you for this amazing gesture.

This £15,000 will enable us to expand our free mental health services and reach even more people who may need support with their mental wellbeing.

An inspiring example of how our communities can take action and drive real change in mental health; during and beyond. 👏

A huge thank you to everyone across McDonald's Forth Valley and their customers for helping us ensure that no one has to face mental health challenges alone. 💚

The theme for 2026 is action. ➡️

When it comes to our own mental health, it's important we take action everyday to help strengthen and protect it.

This action doesn't have to be hard; simple, achievable actions such as picking up the phone and speaking freely with a friend if you are struggling or taking a walk in fresh air if you are feeling overwhelmed. A change can only happen when we take action and choose to prioritise our wellbeing.

Here are a few simple yet powerful actions you could take so you can put your mental health first. 💚

Today marks the beginning of ! 💚

This is an important week within the year as it encourages everyone to talk about mental health; helping to raise awareness and reduce stigma.

The theme for Mental Health Awareness Week this year is action. No matter how big or small the action; this week invites us to take action for either ourself, someone we know, or our wider community to positively enhance our mental health and create healthier environments for our mental health to flourish. 🪴

We will be joining in this week by sharing posts which demonstrate how action is driving the positive change in how we view and talk about mental health in our personal lives and in our communities. 👏
