The phrase 'Blue Monday' was originally coined in 2005 as part of a travel marketing campaign, to encourage the public to book a holiday.

Despite its marketing origins, over the years, Blue Monday has served as a day to spark conversations around mental health and wellbeing which can feel heightened during the month of January.

The month of January can feel particularly tough: back to routines after the novelty of Christmas, financial pressures and weather conditions (just to name a few challenges we may experience) however it's important to know that you are not alone if you are struggling. πŸ«‚

So let's use Blue Monday as a reminder to focus on our mental health and to reach out if we need support. πŸ’™

The pathway to recovery is not linear.

The ups and downs we may experience whilst going through the recovery process are completely natural. It's important to remember that each setback, although difficult to navigate, can provide opportunities for growth and self-understanding. πŸ«‚

Healing involves continuous effort and reflection, and each step, even a backwards one, contributes to your overall progress.

FDAMH are here to provide a listening ear and strategies to help you along this road to recovery. πŸ’š

We hope you are all enjoying the festive holidays. πŸŽ„πŸŒŸ

If you are off work for the holidays, make sure to use this time to rest, relax and unwind. If you are working through the holidays, it's important to carve out time for yourself to rest too.

Don't feel guilty for taking this time to slow down, you deserve it! πŸ’š
